There's absolutely no reason, based on Jay's onscreen role thus far in the story, to believe that using JWS in the part carries any significance beyond the fact that it reintroduces and reinforces the concept of the Multiverse and Multiversal Doppelgangers still existing post-Crisis.

IOW, the Stargirl series itself is still not officially part of the Arrowverse even with JWS appearing.

How are we defining “Arrowverse” here? Because…

Just being briefly featured in CoIE didn't make something officially part of the Arrowverse, which is specifically the Shared Continuity that is officially comprised only of The 1990 Flash series, Arrow, the 2014 Flash series, Constantine, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Batwoman, and Superman & Lois, as well as the animated webseries Vixen and Freedom Fighters: The Ray.

Arguments could be made in favor of the 'Donnerverse' films and Smallville being considered part of the Arrowverse as well, but they've never been officially declared/established as such by the people behind the Arrowverse itself the way that those other series have been.

Everything beyond what's been officially declared as being part of the Arrowverse exists in parallel to and with it internally, but is separate from it.

My rule of thumb is that something should have an ongoing connection to the Arrowverse continuity to qualify as part of it, meaning at least two instances of interaction. Since Crisis did one-shot crossovers with so many other continuities, and implicitly established that all live-action DC continuities exist in the same multiverse, it would be uselessly broad to say they're all part of the Arrowverse, because a category that's contiguous with "everything" is meaningless. So things like the movies and Smallville and Birds of Prey and Lucifer wouldn't count because they only crossed over or were glimpsed once, but the 1990 The Flash does count because its version of Barry Allen was involved in two major Arrowverse events, and several of its key characters had doppelgangers in the Arrowverse even before the connection was made explicit.

For the purposes of Stargirl, I'm willing to count the Crisis cameo as the first appearance, so once they have an overt crossover with the Arrowverse, I'll say they can be counted as part of it. Whether Jay Garrick's appearance here constitutes such a crossover is still ambiguous.

^ For me, the only things that will establish Stargirl as being an official Arrowverse series are A) official comments from both Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti or someone else directly involved with the Arrowverse itself and/or B) an onscreen acknowledgment of Stargirl's universe and/or characters in an official Arrowverse series that is more substantive than a brief 'footage cameo' that as of yet hasn't even been referenced within the Stargirl series itself as far as I know and/or C) an onscreen acknowledgment of characters or events from an official Arrowverse series within Stargirl itself.

That watch story really struck a nerve. I had a very similar situation to that when I was a kid. Difference is I never told my parents and they never found out. :)
I guess we got an answer to whether she’s alive or not. If Courtney has been sent to the shadow realm (very Yu-Gi-Oh!), then she’s alive. She’s probably going to meet up with her and team up.
Nice to see Jennie again. I thought the last episode ended with her absorbing the power; making her the power source and not the ring/lantern. I guess that could explain why she isn’t green. She’s still just a typical ring holder. Anyway it’s good to have some actual GLs in the ArrowVerse finally.

Well, this was less tiresome than the recent ones with all the long slow eerie tension scenes. Stuff actually happened at a fairly normal pace. Rather a lot happened, in fact.

Just how old is Pat, anyway? He taught Sylvester how to drive??

And eww, Rick, you picked that apple up off the floor of your prison cell, and you have no idea what Grundy's been touching. Wash it before you eat it!!

Lucky that STRIPE's radio was tuned to the plot-relevant news channel, huh?

A Green Lantern ring is never the power source; it depends on a power battery to charge it. In this case, Jennie herself is the battery that powers the ring. So yes, she is different from a typical Green Lantern (just not in the exact same way as her comics counterpart). She still uses the ring, but she doesn't need the battery, because the power comes from her. The ring is just how she channels it. Without the ring, her power would probably go even more out of control.

And she was always the power source even before the lantern blew up. We saw in her first episode that when she first put on the ring, her eyes glowed and then the long-drained ring powered up again. Pat wondered how it could've "retained" a charge for so many years, and the solution was that it hadn't; the fact that it had power without a battery was a clue to the fact that Jennie herself had recharged it from her own body when she put it on.

And she's not green because the premise of the show is that the heroes' identities (and even their heroic activities) are secret, and it would be rather conspicuous if she were green-skinned. Also because it's a live-action show and they probably don't want to put her in heavy makeup unnecessarily. They've settled for making her eyes glow green instead. Marvel Television did the same thing with Kilgrave/Purple Man in Jessica Jones.

I was thinking they let him keep his jacket? And his cell has an open window? By that point I didn't notice the apple. :)

Hmm, shame that for the Shade to heal he had to lie to the team and seemingly betray them but they definitely need him at full strength. I wonder if we'll see Court meet McNider as well as Cindy. And maybe the Shade can pop into the Shadow Realm as well to guide them out? Although one wonders why he hasn't helped McNider get out, if that's something he can do.

Really cool to get hints and more-than-hints about future direction. I'm sure we'll see more to do with Todd, and I wonder if they're actually going to show Mr. Bones... and if he's actually going to look like he does in the comics.

Noted a reference to Green Arrow and Speedy on the wall by the way as past JSA members, so it's yet more clear that this is a different world than the rest of the Arrowverse.

I think the JSA and Seven Soldiers of Victory are all WW2 veterans.

    They're just preternaturally young.

Pat: Well, Doctor Fate made us eternally young.

Courtney: You didn't think to bring this up?

    Pat: It didn't seem important.

The part I find weird about the aging is that Courtney and Mike and everyone seem oblivious to it.

Yeah, I was expecting Courtney to notice the dates on the newspapers, or to notice that there was an adult Stripesy uniform alongside a child-sized Star-Spangled Kid uniform, and ask some tough questions.
