Why does Kira wear a Starfleet Uniform in later seasons?

I'm surprised the novels had that happen because Ira Behr was very insistent that Bajor never join the Federation.
Okie dokie, a LOT to unpack here. Firstly, I NEVER said I hated DS9, I just don't care much for it. Hate is a very strong word, and I only use it to describe two parts of all of Trek: the movie Nemesis, and Season 3 of Enterprise. Which reminds me...
I stopped watching Enterprise after Season 2 ended. I agree that it took on too much of a DS9 tone, only in the worst possible way, since DS9 actually did it better and, without getting too political, Season 3 of Enterprise seemed to remind me too much of the real life War on Terror which followed the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Like I said, escapism is what I seek in Star Trek. I understand and respect that others may want more realism in human nature than I am willing to accept in certain Trek shows, but I prefer not necessarily a more utopian society, but at least a more evolved and advanced society. Which brings me to Archer...
I'm actually NOT an "Archer fan", I picked the username I did for a now-defunct 2009 Star Trek forum (not the Kelvin Timeline subforum on the Trekbbs, but a totally different forum on a different site altogether), and only because it was the only legacy character mentioned by name in the 2009 Star Trek who wasn't Kirk, Spock, or the TOS crew. I suppose I could just as easily have picked "Spock Prime" as my username, but Admiral Archer was a human, and I tend to relate to humans more than Vulcans (I'm too emotional to be a Vulcan lol). I actually like Archer fine in Season 1 and 2, but he lost a LOT of my respect in the Xindi war arc. Granted, I am one who best enjoys ENTERPRISE when I don't consider it a proper main entry Star Trek series, but rather a prequel which is set in the same universe. A lot of the things that make Star Trek what it is are not present in Enterprise, hell even the name Star Trek was only added in Season 3, which in my humble opinion feels both tacked on and ironic, since they were at war and therefore as far from my definition of being on a true Star Trek as possible. Enterprise needed to EARN the title of Star Trek, which in my book might have been during the 4th season, when the Xindi war was over and the NX-01 crew resumed their exploration of space.

It's funny that you mention this and Star Trek 2009 board because I love Sarek from that film as he offers Spock wisdom.

It;'s not wrong about Kira. It's explains it exactly as it happened in the TV show.
You act like the wiki is completely unreliable
The trouble is, one can never tell. Which is the short definition of unreliable, even if 9.975% of it is right, for the fictional value of right. (And it isn't, since for brevity it needs to draw conclusions, and some of those are really almost as far-fetched than my usual ones.)
MA is good for getting pointers, except it's a chore when it gives three eps as references for a factoid and only one actually contains that factoid. With Kira, say, the body of the text admits that her year of birth is speculation, but then proceeds to nail down the event in "Wrongs Darker" based on that very speculation without stating so, and confusingly gives "The Maquis I" as an additional reference. It's good and defensible stuff but could just as well be wrong, and checking is made difficult by the end-of-paragraph multi-referencing.

There is no entry for "Field Colonel" in the article. It is not listed as a Bajoran Militia rank.
