Not a frustration but I miss magic shows. They used to happen lots on TV in the 80s and 90s. Not so much now.
Insurance companies. I finally get to the doctor to treat my torn/impinged rotator cuff and they give me a referral to the Physical Therapy place; I have the appointment to assess the injury, and THEN, when I go back for the first therapy session, I'm told my insurance won't approve it. You'd think my doctor's office would've known that. The therapy place was very apologetic; they couldn't understand why it wasn't approved and said they would keep trying for the next day or two, and then give me a call. Dang it. The therapy place at least gave me some papers on exercises to do at home.
If there is a benefits coordinator type person associated with your employment, let them know as well. Many times my wife, being a diabetic, has caught the insurance company balking at providing services they are contracted to provide. The prospect of not having that contract renewed tamped down on those occurrences big time.
She works at the local hospital. So her employment hasn't been affected by COVID but currently the occupancy of the hospital is overflowing. They've had to resort to using three tents they would normally use for triage during natural disasters as check-in for the ER because the ER waiting room has been converted to ER beds. And all patients but two during this surge has been unvaccinated. Idiots.
What sidewalks? Unless you live in a wealthy area or gated community, there are no sidewalks in way too much of Phoenix.
I was just running on the bike path today and there was this abandon skateboard being swarmed with bees. I didn't identify them as bees soon enough, thinking they were some other kind of insect, and got stung. I don't know what the story is behind that but hopefully nobody happens by who's allergic. Edit: At this point I'm not even mad I got stung. I just really badly need to know why the hell bees would attack a skateboard.
My latest frustration is the fandom.com site with the wikis on various fictional universes.... and its stupid in-browser pop-up things and the videos that start playing automatically, and the ads that take a moment to load and then take you back to the top of the page if you happened to have scrolled down at all. Kor
^ And the captchas that inexplicably pop up when you're trying to sign in. What, is Fandom some kind of high-profile bot target?
I've been extremely depressed the last few weeks. A lot of things, and mostly just me being me. I'm getting work done but it's like trudging through setting concrete. I'm afraid im importing my negativity places so i stop posting to forums and things as much when I am in that kind of mood. Usually anyway. I am sorry if I have been rude to anyone. But its this nonstop rain. We've never had rain like this here. it abets for a few days at a time then it kicks in again. my front yard was a lake. usually my home made therapy is just to hop on the bike and have a judicious application of throttle, but that hasn't been much of a retreat, lately. but on the bright side, it's dry today. There's blue in the sky.
I'm sorry you've been dealing with that. I'm *very* familiar with depression and it sucks. *HUGS* Message me privately if you want to vent.
Actually yes. Sites like that are a real hot target for botnets to do ddos attacks and to steal userdata because a lot of the die hard users are fans with deep pockets to buy merchandise and stuff so who better to hack?
Dear. Fucking. God. We've been trying to get the plumber, tile guy and carpet crew out to our house for WEEKS. They finally all showed up.....on the same day. Christ on a cracker. If we can at least get the carpet done, then we can put the house back together. I've spent the entire day surrounded by table saws, mallets banging, and people yelling to each other in Spanish. I wish my Spanish was better--- I can only get the most basic things across. Otherwise, it's a lot of pointing going on.
Poor quality TV advertisements. These days they just use well known celebrities so upcoming actors don't get the chance.
Yikes. I'm referring to ones by schools and parks in my area for what it's worth. The infrastructure needs work.
