The latest Star Trek productions love to shove in Discovery Shuttles / Ships into everything where they shouldn't have been.

Picard taking a Discovery Era Shuttle instead of a more recent era shuttle for a Taxi in ST:PICARD.

ST: Discovery showing all the Discovery Era StarShips in the StarShip junk yard instead of more recent era StarShips.

The Discovery production staff go out of there way to never show 24th century or even TOS designs.

Where did LDS show a TOS version of a DIS design? I only remember PIC showing the Discoprise.

The TOS Enterprise shows up on a picture in the bar on Starbase 25.

The Tellarites have been pretty much TOS (more pig looking than other productions), but they did show one with DSC/PIC Tusks a couple episodes ago.

Well they used footage directly from TOS/The Cage in Season 2.

Though they did present it as a bit of a joke with the bombastic classic music that didn't fit the tone and gaudy faux-sixties transitions, compared to when Doctor Who did the same thing in a much more straightforward way a few years earlier.

True, but they didn't replace the footage of the Enterprise.

In fact, they removed the HD "remastered" pilot Enterprise from the 2008 version and replaced it with the grainy original Enterprise (colorized) from the 1965 production.

They kind of did, the shot wasn't from "The Cage," but I take your meaning, it's not like the holographic display of the DSC version of the ship in PIC.

I think you missed my point.

TrekYards thinks the DSC redesigns are retcons/de-canonizing the TOS designs. So when a TOS design shows back up, they act like it's the greatest thing in the world and is recanonizing it, because whoever is running the production 'respects the canon'.

Ah, I see, if the original TOS design appears in a new production after an earlier production replaced it with a DIS design, they're happy that the original is used. Got it now XD
I was actually happy to see the Andorians with their TOS/ENT/PIC look instead of the 4 antennae they had in DIS, and that the Tellarite captain looked like in TOS/ENT as well.
Isn't it great that we have shows for everyone now? New stuff for people who don't care about the old stuff, and new stuff that basically only cares about old stuff XD

Tellarites are a bit like Klingons in that they always look different. Really, LDS ought to do an episode where a Tellarite character keeps changing from scene to scene, sometimes sprouting tusk, sometimes not, sometimes having three fingers, sometimes five, and on occasion standing digitigrade on hooves - naturally without any comment.

In my headcanon, Tellarites are simply the most compatible species out there, always interbreeding with others so that the average Tellarite is only 12.5% pork at maximum.

There are no TOS/ENT Tellarites or TOS/ENT/PIC Andorians.

The look of both species varied wildly across those shows.

You're identifying categories that almost certainly were never intended by the creators and probably only apply by your own reasoning. One can enjoy all of it, or pick and chose. This is not some Napoleonic battlefield.
