I think Belichick is a very good coach, but shouldn’t be the GM. Because that very poor roster last year was the roster he built.
Oh, no, don’t get me wrong - I 100% agree that he’s one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. Has been for a long time. I just also find him irredeemably evil.
Of course - but over the course of 20 years with one team, there are going to be patches where the roster is weak. They also had some significant injuries and opt-outs.
The Patriots' roster was comparatively weak for a few years after the near-perfect season in 2007, too, and people were starting to question Belichick's ability as a GM. They went on to win three more Super Bowls over the next decade.
Rumor mill has the Texans wanting a combination of six players and picks for Watson, a QB they won't play. No one is willing to meet that asking price without conditions because of, you know, legal issues. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...on-6-players-draft-picks-deshaun-watson-trade
Steelers have 54 yards of offense in the first half against Buffalo. Their offensive line looks horrible and so does Roethlisberger.
Looks like Aaron “I want to run the whole team” Rodgers should have spent more of the offseason practicing instead of whining. 5TD’s for Winston so far today…
Browns-Chiefs has been a heck of a game. Browns just haven’t been able to put them away and KC just took the lead.
At half time, I was wondering why I was a Lions fan and realizing it was going to be a long season. In those final two minutes though, I saw a team going in the right direction and that they might actually bite some kneecaps.
Lawrence of Jagland gets his ass kicked by the Texans. LOL We'll find out next week if the Texans are really any good when they play Cleveland. Jaguars were sloppy today on both sides of the ball.
The NFL is trying to get in on the MLB's act of random stats... Russell Wilson is the first QB to throw 4 TDs on consecutive season openers.
