Buccaneers get the win 31-29 over the Cowboys in the season opener. Dallas gave them a much better game than most people expected. In fact, Bucs are the first team in NFL history "to lose the turnover margin by at least 3, incur 100 penalty yards, allow 450 yards, and still win the game". Cowboys took the lead late but not late enough, leaving Tom Brady too much time to come back. Never a good idea.

That was a nail-biter of a game. Awesome season opener.
Kind of torn about this one, though... On the one hand, Brady won (ick), but on the other hand, my team's main division rival is now 0-1, which is obviously a good thing to me. So I think I can live with it.
To be fair, though, I don't find watching the Brady/Gronk show nearly as distasteful these days now as I did when they were in NE. I think the Brady/Belichick pairing seemed to be a lot more toxically vile then than what they've become after being on their own. I loved the fact that Brady told Belichick to go pound sand, proving that the latter needed the former far more than the other way around. Belichick's arrogance and inflexibility cost him dearly. That is good.

It was a good game, back and forth right until the very last second. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb put on a show!

Thank you - people act like he's suddenly the worst coach ever because he went 7-9 with one of the worst rosters and arguably the worst starting QB in the league last year.
