Spoilers The Ships of Lower Decks

This could be Starbase 25. This base was first mentioned in the TAS episode "The Slaver Weapon".

The station feels like a mishmash of TOS and film elements. I like it.

It's a whole family of designs. It starts with Masao Okazaki, whose fan site The Starfleet Museum features his art on various "older" Trek ships and stations he dreamed up to create a whole history for Starfleet. When the Vanguard novels were in want of cover art on such "older" things, that is, a Starbase 47 with post-ENT but pre-TOS aesthetics, Masao got contacted, and drew the station, based on his "J Class Starbase" design. It was then also used, slightly rescaled and otherwise fine-tuned, in the TOS-R episode "Ultimate Computer" (it says "Starbase 6" on tiny letters on the side, but this can't really be seen, and the episode dialogue doesn't reveal the identity of the station), and finally makes an appearance in this LDS ep, again with mods.

However, Masao already combined the aesthetics of ST3 Spacedock with those of TOS to create the original. So the ST3 design is very much part of the same family, as are its various study models and drawings that pop up in TNG and elsewhere. And of course the top dome here is lifted from the original TOS station, a variant of the real-world "sombrero" study by Douglas Corp. for a much, much smaller space habitat launched on top of rockets, with the top domes fitting inside the nose cones... So Deep Space Station K-7 from "Trouble with Tribbles" (also originally reused in "Ultimate Computer") is part of the family, too.

they named the Starbase in the trailer I think

Edit: yeah, Starbase 25, it was mention in TAS 'The Slaver Weapon'.

...Basically, Spock was given a true Lower Decks job of delivering stuff to a collector? Perhaps in reflection of his performance on his previous shuttlecraft command?

I love all of Masao's designs (which have been leaking over novel covers elsewhere, too, with at least the Capella and Pyotr Velikiy classes now solidly in my headcanon), but the Trek aesthetic has been drifting in directions that make further adoption of those a bit unlikely, either in the pre-TOS brackets or during the still unseen Romulan War.

Still, LDS would be the perfect place to canonize something like the Archer class...

XL version. Hoping for a standard too. Do the bussard collectors REALLY stick that far forward? It doesn't look like it on screen, but against space maybe I don't notice the black bits of the collectors that much.

Yeah that threw me for a moment. As you say, the dark parts of the bussards get lost against the dark backdrop. Seeing the ship against white really highlights how far forward they come. Quickly going back and having a look at the intro sequence, they seem right.

Parliament Class in STO..

Well, once the current campaign is complete, we’ll get either a ton of Lobi or some T6 premium tokens. I was planning on getting the Into Darkness Dreadnaught with that, but the Parliament is screaming at me right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it with some combination of those winnings.

Speaking of detail, where are the shuttlebays?

They are the same shape internally as those of the hero ship, with a trapezoid general cross-section at least to the entryway. So, on top of each pylon, fwd of the impulse engine blocks, in the trapezoid insets? Does the STO model have suitable detail in there?

Or somewhere in the shadows between the aft structures? Under the saucer aft lower lip?
