Spoilers Star Trek: Prodigy General Discussion Thread

Presented by permission of her highness, Kate Mulgrew.

And her band of winged cobalt armored taranrtulas (with all due to respect to SF Debris and his crazy Janeway persona jokes).

Actually, I got a strong vibe of the Discovery opener out of this. Lots of flybys, elements of the cast / props zipping by, etc.

And a peek at the not-JUST-warp drive of the ship. Awesome!

I gotta say: the intros of ships flying random places are starting to get dull. Voyager, Discovery, Lower Decks (although at least that's amusing), now this. Yes, I realize that TOS intro was the prototype "ship flying random places"....

Also, why are there endless streamers coming out of the nacelles?

Feels like a proper tiny Test StarShip.

I approve! =D

Having a deployable 3rd Warp Nacelle and the main Nacelles are moveable is neat.

Will this be the first Hero Ship (Regularly Starring) in StarTrek with 3 Warp Nacelles?

The intro is visually appealing.
As said by posters before, some musical cues also reminds me of Avengers, Kelvin, and Discovery. I didn’t notice any Voyager-specific sound element but I’m sure it will be hinted at in episodes.

I recognised Gwyn and Janeway but it had to be pointed out to me that the Protostar travels past each main character (in space-format).

I hope Eaglemoss can bring out the ship in both modes. Especially here it feels like a blend of Voyager and Kelvin Starfleet. I presume it lacks a shuttlebay.

This is so cool.

Yeah, it seems that the entire lower hull is dedicated to the special drive that pops out.
There may be a small shuttlebay of some kind in the lower part of the primary hull.

Honestly, given the small size of the USS ProtoStar, I can see it being comfy / cozy as a personal StarShip for retired UFP StarShip Captains

I absolutely loved the visuals. The music started off well but then kind of became a bit...eh. I'm sure it'll grow on me as time goes by, but for now I'll enjoy the visuals with each episode.

Given the fact the fact that the Protostar goes by every cast member, it's seems even more obvious that the cast names will be credited in the final version of the main titles.

Curious why they’re going to the Alpha, when the Beta is closer to Delta and, y’know, contains the core of the Federation. Sometimes I think people forget that.

My guess would be that the ship was designed to go to the DQ and then come back automatically to the Federation, perhaps as some kind of automated test flight.
