What are your top 3 recurring Star Trek villains of all time?
Funny1. Leonard Maizlish
2. Rick Berman
3. Brannon Braga
Definitely agree on number .1. Leonard Maizlish
2. Rick Berman
3. Brannon Braga
I counted two part episodes as appearing more than once. They are all "villains."Some of those appeared only once, others aren't villains...
Definitely agree on number .
Hey, I saved Fred Freiberger, but if there's ever a recurring villains of Space 1999 poll ...Funny
Jellico may have been Captain Hardass, but I wouldn’t call him a villain.
I know, right? Through 32 seasons of Star Trek, how could the villains that you like slip anyone's mind?No Eddington? Seriously, and they mention Jelico of all people?
They aslo forgot V'Las from season 4 of Enterprise.
"Eye of the beholder."1. Dukat
2. Kai Winn
3. Weyoun
Yes, DS9 really got the best villains.
So Damar and Edward Jellico are considered villains? I absolutely hate Jellico but saying he is a villain is a stretch. A douchebag would be enough.
Damar was complex, and may have had a sort of redemption, but he was definitely villainous through most of his existence on DS9.About Damar, I get why he is nominated. After all, he wantonly killed Ziyal and I cannot forgive him for that. But if it wasn't for that heinous crime, I'd say he's a decent guy. He was not egotistical, evil and hungry for power like Dukat, he was just a patriot who always tried to do the best he could to fight for Cardassia, especially during the Dominion occupation. Sure, I don't side with the Cardassians because of what they did to Bajor but it's hard to blame him for being a loyal Cardassian. And he helped the Federation in a massive way by the end of the series. So yeah, he's a "semi-villain" imo.
All of them qualify as a villain and/or antagonist.Obligatory "I'm not sure I'd call all of these villains or even antagonist,
I counted two-parters as "recurring" to add more variety.much less recurring" Statement.
Good list.On topic:
1.Dukat. No other Star Trek villain, in my opinion, is this well written and rounded. Though the end where he goes insane was a bit "ehh...."
2.Kai Winn. I hate her. I hate her voice, I hate her stupid hat, I hate the things she says and does and that's how you know she's a good villain. Though I wish they would have given her at least one redeemable characteristic. Like why didn't we hear more about her supposedly helping others during the Occupation (that bit about her selling jewels from the temple to buy food for starving children, or whatever that was)
3.Damar, well, in my opinion he's still better than the other characters left in the list.
