I do like a cup of coffee in the morning, but nothing fancy just your basic instant coffee.
just two questions:
  1. ever considered a syringe for your daily dose of caffeine?
  2. are you by any chance american?
I agree it’s better than Starbucks but I’ll take Dunkins over it any day. Or would go for a local coffee shop or Cafe Nero before either.
last time i checked there was only one segafredo in the us - you need to go to california (either la or sf)

All good buddy. I need my cap to kick the day off on the right note, but I'm not worried about running out of the stuff. The next pandemic will wipe us out well before global warming finishes the job.

It's always great to have some reserves of coffee ..... you'll never know....maybe some tornado will hit the store nearby, then the road which connects you to the city.... this way you'll be able to enjoy some moments by having a good smelling coffee...
Heat will kill many people so there's no need for another pandemic.... also perhaps people will wake up and they will stop buying all the crap they're seeing on TV.
NASA observed this cycle of 11 years in which in the first period the sun is less warm and when it gets to the 11th year it gets very hot.... after 11 years it cools down and starts from the beginning.
So they noticed this cycle was deranged and it's not happening as it use to happen, so there's no more cycle anymore....
Sun is very warm... but maybe soon will cool down and we will all freeze to death :)
I guess though there are people who know what's coming, but why reveal it since we will all panic and make it worse than it already is.
Anyway, I'll just have a coffee and try to survive.

Speaking of reserves, I have about 20 cans of THIS in the pantry. There is room for little else, actually.
So you're a Colombian coffee fan too ?
I like to try more types....
Sometimes I buy these packages from supermarkets (probably not from a famous brand) like Ethiopian or from other part of the world... packed in strong paper bags ..... they have these small holes (like Costa coffee has) where you can smell them.... well not exactly holes because coffee will lose from its strength but something like a very very tiny hole, like a seal, through which you can smell them ....

Royal Cup Coffee and Tea in Tarrant AL is a nice place to work…not far from Inglenook’s Coca-Cola bottling plant.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion…

it was coffee alone* that made some critters on the planet yamguchi sentient and captain bernard m gruenblum a god

* okay, the time ship 789 george herbert played a role, too

There are other kinds? ;)

....it's a value thing for me. I get those 24 oz cans of Juan Valdez approved 100% Colombian for between $5 and $7. A very, very good deal for me.

When I treat myself to a splurge though it is with THIS. It is on Amazon to. Beware though, it is a hard habit to break.

Of course we look at the price too...
This one is about 5 euros in my country.... more or less...

Those are one-way vents--they generally keep the bags from exploding after they're filled. Freshly-roasted coffee beans release gas over time, which can cause a completely sealed bag to expand and become something of a hand grenade. Most of the time, the vents work fine, but every once in a while, one may fail and...BOOM!

Basic black with a couple drops of stevia.

While my usual routine in the morning is just to turn on the drip pot, I do have a moka pot and a French press for when I really want to get fancy.

I'm a bit of coffee snob when it comes to using those, and I buy from a coffee company in Denver called Daz Bog. Their blends are amazing.

Didn't knew they were "one way", I just thought they were some sort of vents which were barely releasing something.... in order to smell it. And that air was hardly getting in. Anyway seems like a great "invention".
I like buying this vacuumed coffee already grinded and filled with a bit of air.
I remember when the coffee industry wasn't very developed, my grandparents were buying roasted coffee and they were grinding the coffee at home.
Always had that great smell filling the house with its great aroma...

I also have a moka-pot and a small expresso machine, but I'm using the moka pot since it's faster ....

I love a morning coffee and I used to take jars of coffee to work and leave it by the coffee machine to see who could resist its purple velvety seductivenessness (Nescafe Alta Rica). The jar would be empty by the end of the day and at about £4 a jar I soon stopped doing that experiment. I liked the idea I was powering the office and that my colleagues liked my choice of coffee but I'm not made of money. Not been back to the office since the first lockdown of March 2020 and I miss the coffee and foosball breaks.I also love a cuppa and my favourite is Yorkshire Tea. That's a proper brew. A brew and a ginger nut.

Couldn't answer the poll because there's no selection for just regular coffee. Yes, there is a selection for black, but I can not drink it plain, as it has to have creamer (either flavored or half & half) with no sweetener. I have an almost Janeway fixation in that I've got to have my coffee and it has to be a good old non-fancy schmancy brew (preferably a Columbian roast, but not mandatory).
In fact, I've never even heard of almost half of those choices you listed.

No pretentious, creative, overpriced concoction sipped by Yuppies at corporate coffeehouses or the European jet set on holiday. Just coffee, thank you very much.

To me, espresso is the standard. There is nothing "fancy," or extravagant, or whatever, about espresso beverages. Those are just a normal type of coffee. It's like how sushi is often perceived by some Americans as "frou-frou." Nope, it's a traditional working-class food.

Generally I don't enjoy drip or pourover coffee. Drip is too watery, no matter how strongly it's brewed.
Turkish coffee is also good, and made through an interesting process. It is traditionally made sweet, though. And I don't often drink sugary beverages.

If we are listing different brewing methods, then perhaps French press should have been listed in the poll. And maybe percolator coffee, though that isn't as common or popular as it was decades ago. The Café Cubano deserves a mention as well.

I love coffee, and I love espresso in my French press. I drink it with cream and sugar or black. I also love cappuccino and lattes (without sweetening, of course).

Something I've not had for a long time is coffee with evaporated milk. Very sweet but delicious and could probably sneak some bourbon in it as well.
