I don't mind it on a pizza, that being said I don't often have it on a pizza i much prefer things like Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, Chicken etc.. on my pizza. What can I say I like meat based toppings on my pizzas

The difference is easy: the ocean is a civilian.

I think another point that speaks in favour of pinapple on pizza is that the colour goes so nicely with the tomato sauce's red and the pinkish ham. In German, we have a proverb: your eyes eat, too. It's important that food looks attractive and the pinapple is a very handsome fruit :)

Ah, meat on pizza.

I don't eat meat - I do, however, like meat. I've found the substitutes (especially for processed meats) have been getting quite good recently. Very good in some cases, and I eat them regularly and enjoy them.

So, we've discovered a vegetarian/vegan pizza place which uses good substitutes on pizzas. I've had pepperoni, sausage, chicken, tandoori chicken, mixed meatfeast and so on.

I hate each and every one of them. Others tell me how much they love them, but I...don't. I really, really don't.

I just don't like meat on pizza.

:sigh:

I avoid anything vegan on principle. If we take care of animals, they can at least pay us in milk and eggs. Vegetarian, I can at least understand. And as long as they leave off the pineapple and olives, I like veggie pizza just fine.

Ocean gray and military gray... the best way to discern them is by hex triplet. Maybe one is something like 6F6F8F, darkish gray with a little blue. Other might be 686868, a nice neutral dark gray. Those are both guesses, of course.

I've come to realize I don't really like thin crust. We decided to try a new wood-fired pizzeria that opened up recently that's been getting rave reviews, and it was fairly expensive for what we ended up getting. Overall, it was fairly underwhelming, with the crust being paper-thin. Now, I've had thin crust before, but this seemed taken to the next level. When it comes to crust, I like it thicker.

In U.S. military spec (Federal Standard) colors, "Ocean Gray" is FS-36173. "Military Gray" is . . . well, it isn't.

And I like meat on pizza. Lots of meat. Anything as long as it's from a dead animal.

There is an Italian takeaway near me and there Pizza bases are very thin, nice pizzas though.

A pizza should be a pizza, I mean something like a food, not a dessert ...therefore it shouldn't be sweet....
Of course nowadays you can eat all sort of salads mixed with fruits too, but I always like to make a distinction between a cooked meal and a dessert.
I like pineapples separately, but never on a pizza. :)
I also consider eating more like a ritual.... so I never eat just to fill my stomach so I won't starve.

Salty and sweet can be a very tasty combo. Salted caramel, for example.

A gelato joint round the corner did a miso, banana and salted caramel blend. Salty, sweet, umami ... my god, it was divine.

My fav pizza w/ pineapple is a Pizza Hut classic - haven't had it in years: super supreme w/ anchovies & olives. The pineapple helps balance / cut through the heavier toppings. And it just tastes fucking delicious.

I'd opt for a Quattro Stagioni or some Pasta Bolognese if it comes to Italian food ...

As far as I know the "Hawaii Pizza" is the only pineapple based pizza....
Or do they use pineapple in other pizzas too ?
I can think of many pineapple cocktails .... but pizza ??
