New blog post from director Ralph Senensky

Why does this read like a paid sponsorship for the podcast in question?
No sponsorship here. I just really like Senensky's posts. And since he's one of only three original series directors still with us (along with Robert Butler and Marvin Chomsky), his insights are valuable.

I didn’t mean to suggest it was you. I tweaked the post to address this.

Damn, I didn't realize there were only three still with us, though of course as soon as you point it out I realize, how could it be otherwise?

I was once at a funeral of a friendly business contact of mine, and one of the speakers mentioned how the deceased always loved to regale Star Trek fans he knew with behind-the-scenes stories of the original series episodes he had directed.

Which I had NEVER known about until this moment in the eulogy! Over the years we had had many conversations about other (more recent) jobs of his, but neither he nor I ever brought up Star Trek, and I didn't know the original series directors by name the way I would have the Berman-era roster. He was a lovely man, but sometimes speaking with him I was really reaching to find a topic of shared interest. This huge one was there the whole time, undiscovered until immediately after his death.

Who was he?
