Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings: The Rising and Advancing of the Spirit

Except he's not just another guy in a Stark tech suit. That was the whole point of his defeating Vulture in his homemade suit.
Maybe not his every appearance in the MCU, but CW and the Avengers movies made me lose my interest. Oh, and whatever movie that was Spidey vs Mephisto. I can't remember the name. Thankfully.

I haven't followed this thread at all, first time here in fact, and have only seen one trailer for this film and know very little about it. But I wanted to make note, having a more than passing familiarity with the character of Shang-Chi from the comic books, that I think it's actually brilliant of the MCU to cast Shang-Chi's father, who in the comic books is Fu Manchu, as the Mandarin.

So the world premiere of Shang-Chi was today and guess who showed up on the red carpet?

Sir Ben Kingsley
I've been really hoping that the film would address Trevor and All Hail the King, so hopefully his presence at the world premiere is a confirmation of that possibility.

That said, it's entirely possible he was just there to support the film because of his tangential connection.

So are they in the movie, and if so, for any length of time?
If I were a betting man I would say yes they are. It's always weird when actors show up on the red carpet revealing that they are in the movie. Kinda spoils the surprise that they had been keeping. I remember the same thing happened when William Dafoe was at the Spider-man 2 Premier. No idea how long they will be in the movie for but I imagine not too long.

Early reviews are giving the movie a lot of praise and saying good things about Liu as well as the rest of the cast. Some reviews are noting how different the movie feels from other MCU offerings.

I wouldn't trust any reviews for this film. Half of them will be from racist assholes trying to drag it down and the other half from the liberals trying to over-hype it.

Hmmm THAT makes me more interested in seeing this now. I know nothing about Shangi-Chi and not a huge Marvel fan and do not see everything they do. But have always admired their world building. Now I am curious.

As happy as I am about this news, I do think we should tamper down our expectations a bit. I'm sure the appearance won't be more than one or two scenes.

According to IMDb, Trevor had just under 10 minutes of screen time in Iron Man 3. I would be happy with a similar amount of screen time in this movie.

All Hail The King

This little gem follows Trevor in between Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi...

Isn't Shang-Chi a derivative of the character Bruce Lee played in "Enter The Dragon"? A James Bond, secret agent, martial arts movie. I think one of my brothers collected that comic book from the 70's and it was all about secret agent vs enemy agent stuff called "Masters of Kung-Fu". The trailer appears to be far apart from it's roots, but then again it could be more in line with his current comic run.
