They left behind a transtator and communicator on Sigma Iotia II and didn't even go back for it. I mean, this is 100 years AFTER the Prime Directive went into effect.

He's not supposed to feel or show emotions, damns included.
He's also handing out guns*. Killing computer overlords. Changing the course of civilization. The man's a menace.

Can't recommend the comic series "the trial of James T. Kirk " enough.
And Starfleet clearly teaches he was a hero for his deeds so they like to have their cake and eat it, too. "The Prime Directive is sacrosanct, but did you SEE what an ultimate badass mofo Kirk was?" So, yeah, don't violate it but if you have to make it count.

I believe so. You have Bela Omyx, Leonard James Akaar, and Eminar VIi's leader, among others all come as witnesses. Really fun and interesting. Decent story too.
Maybe. But I definitely think it's a necessary job on a ship with over 1,000 people, some of whom are families. (And not just because of my name and icon!)

Why didn't the Federation jump on the So'na sooner then events in Insurrection when they knew those guys were supplying the Dominion with all the Ketracel White?
Or if you're Kathryn Janeway. Her kids were able to care for themselves at the age of 3 days.
DS9 didn't have Roger Ramjet on the crew. He would have sorted the Dominion out.
100% agree (might have even been one of my unpopular opinions earlier in the thread). I'd go further and say seasons 1-4 (and half of 5) to me are far preferable to all that came in seasons 6 and 7!
One proton energy pill is all it would take!
