Spoilers Where does Boimler go from here?

If you're looking for the green-painted bubble wrap in Tom Baker-era Dr. Who, or the strings on the Thunderbirds puppets, or the tiny glitch in the CGI... you aren't watching for the story. So why ARE you watching?

It doesn't apply to all questions. Just about details on Star Trek (and other fandoms) that seem insignificant to you might matter a great deal to someone else. I could tell you some stories.

So could I, but I'll not assume that all details carry equal weight so I ask questions and then get looked at strangely for not understanding...

Or Boimler made the mistake of saying he doesn't like jazz...

You were probably joking... but personally don't think Riker (or any SF captain) would be so petty to demote and transfer crew members for something like that.
Sure, the show is 'whacky' enough to do something like that... but if it were to be considered part of canon, then no.

If Boimler gets demoted, it would probably be something relatively serious (such as potentially breaking the law for the 'greater good' and instead of being court martialed, Riker could have simply spared Boimler of that by 'fiddling with the records' then demoting and transferring him back to the Cerritos).

The "real" Riker certainly would not. The version of Riker we see in "Lower Decks", who sells contraband to ensigns, warps in the factor of 5-6-7-8, and doesn't even know the name if the guy he's promoting onto his ship... anything's possible.

It's not inconceivable. Tom Riker leads an insurrection at the Lazon 2 labor camp and liberates dozens of prisoners, then escapes in a hijacked Galor class, providing the Federation with all sorts of useful information. This is after the amnesty mentioned in "Homecoming" was extended, so Tom is reinstated into Starfleet as a LCDR and first officer on a smaller ship. His captain is killed in battle, but Tom takes command and saves the ship with a trick that will later be called the Riker Maneuver. With no replacement conveniently available, he is field promoted to captain; the commission becomes permanent when he distinguishes himself over the course of the Dominion war. So there could easily be two Captain William Thomas Rikers by the LD era.

I think Boim is going to return to the Cerritos on his own by coming to the conclusion that he's not ready for the Titan yet. As we see from both trailers, he's clearly freaked out and not knowing how to handle being there since the Titan gets into far more important scrapes than the Cerritos does. How his rank is reduced, though, I have no idea.

In order to return to the Cerritos he has to take a demotion? Though, given the shenanigans that happened in S1 he might be demoted for something like that.

I fully expect a reboot but I'd love for Boimler to return as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade) and EVERYONE ignore he's technically higher ranked than them.

I don't know if that would be the case. I just know that in the Season 2 trailer, he's seen in Cerritos uniform, with ensign insignia. So either he's been knocked down a level, or some animator goofed.

You think Boimler would let them? That second pip was a REALLY big deal to him. That's why I'm wondering what his new in-show motivation will be if he loses it, and is probably unlikely to get it back (at least for a long time).

I think Boimler couldn't control Tendi let alone Mariner.

No one can control Mariner. Controlling Mariner is about as easy as trying to herd five thousand cats through a monsoon level rainstorm.

I concur. The trailers and last episode appear to foreshadow that Boimler is horrified with life on the Titan and will request/purposely get demoted for the "quiet" life on the Cerritos.
I hope I'm wrong because it would send the message "Don't dream too big if you're not up for it."
Plus I'd hate a slavish adherence to "status quo is god", i.e. "the main cast has to stay ensigns forever."
