Should the borg make an appearance in season 4 or later?

If you see the Borg appearing I'd say it's a sure sign that the ratings are slipping. I doubt it'll come to that and I hope not too.

Hmm. Implants, yes. Assimilated, apparently not. So...either XBs or children of the Cooperative? (Other options yet to be revealed.)

As for the Collective we've known and feared...leave that to PIC, LDS or other series to be named?

Just for shits and giggles, it should be established that the Federation is somehow in diplomatic relations with the Borg Collective.

Willa: Admiral, Three of Eight is here to see you.
Vance: Who?
Willa: The new Borg ambassador.
Vance: Sigh. Just when I thought this day couldn't get more dreary...

Well, even in TNG, Guinan mentioned that the UFP might be able to establish a rapport one day with the Borg... but that for right now, the UFP is mostly seen as 'raw material'.

Its possible that whatever might have happened in those 800 odd years, resulted in UFP having established diplomatic relations with the Borg Collective - and its possible the events in Picard contributed towards that (if PIC takes things further with the Borg).

I wouldn't mind the borg if the collective has actually changed and the story is different than what came before. If it's just more of the same I don't need them.
