Got email that Newton is ready for preorder in the UK, alongside Mayflower and Armstrong.
No hint when either of those becomes Add to Basket. I wonder if they intentionally go live all at the same time?

Good on you! Anything Kelvin-timeline Trek is gold to me - and I’m hoping EM extend the Armstrong and Mayflower to International markets shortly!

    Fingers crossed!

Question is, will they do an Excelsior repaint? :D

    Ha! ^^^ very good question!

I’d personally love it if they did!

I've been a bit out of the loop with Eaglemoss ships since the main line ended. Are there any news on the Cerritos coming out as a model? I really want that one.

No idea as to when, but I do believe Ben said they were going to do them, yes, along with the Parliament-class (USS Vancouver - a truly bad-ass design, IMO). There's been talk about them doing an LDS Titan repaint as well, but all rumors. We'll probably see some kind of announcement late in the fall or early winter.

Thanks for the quick update! I was afraid I had missed some announcement anywhere. Yes, the Vancouver will be a welcome addition as well! Looking forward to how they make the cartoon look work for the models.

I hope the ships end up looking realistic, like TAS ships imported into TOS-R.

I wouldn't worry about the paint of the LDS ships. It's not that the other Eaglemoss ships are photo-realistic reproductions. Some of their models even have quite a toy like paint and look more "cartoony" than what we see in LDS. If they could transfer the colors of the Cerritos as seen in the show the model should look quite fine next to the other Starfleet ships in the collection.

NCC-73515's montage of the Enterprise-D and the Cerritos side by side is very encouraging and in my view proofing that the visual style of the ship shots in LDS is not that different than what we saw in the Life Action shows.

Eaglemoss models based on CGI created ships and based on physical models also work next to each other. There is even a black & white ship in the collection and some concept shuttles merely based on drawings.

I love that we’re getting old-timey ships like the Nebula, Nova and now Oberth.

The stand for that STO Damar-class dreadnaught looks like it’ll snap the model in half under its own weight. Some of those stand designs really don’t look that well thought-out. Models look top-notch, though!

I'd be happy if the regular scale Oberth was ever in stock...

Yeah that is NOT ideal placement. That's the same one you stick up the Klingon BoP's arse, and it barely does the trick there in some of the wing configurations.

That’s also how it looks in STO. The show probably just had terrible lighting to show it off. And yeah it’s not a very large ship in universe

The tinyiness could also be an Eaglemoss issue. Ships are limited to a certain length//width ratio. My T'varo warbird is HUGE compared to the Vastam command ship that should dwarf it, because it's as wide as it is long and the Vastam should be WAY wider and longer, but has to fit in the same box. The E-D similarly dwarfs the E-E because the former is about as long as she is wide, and the latter is longer and thinner. The Defiant is about the same on each axis so you get more ship per pound than the Aventine...

On the one hand I like it when DIS/PIC ships are small enough to fit in with the models of the regular collection. On the other hand... if they're not substantially bigger they're not worth 50€!
