To Cavill and Snyder? I agree. I forgot “Murderman” as well.
Present company excepted, I grew tired of those who not only didn’t like the result (totally fair and fine) but also rejected the idea that any take on the character that didn’t fit a very narrow, rigidly defined (and, frankly, highly repetitive and represented) version was an illegitimate exercise and anyone who enjoyed it was not a “TruFan”. I find the “TruTrek” gatekeeping exhausting enough, I grew tired of it applied to Snyder’s version of Superman.

Your rationality will fail to register with those who have made innumerable posts in this and other threads yelling that Superman must fit--as you accurately put it--"a very narrow, rigidly defined (and, frankly, highly repetitive and represented) version". Thankfully, recent films and those set to be produced soon take another path not chained to one, overused idea.

Why do you say that? There is nothing on that page that makes me believe that to be true.
First, their YouTube channel was started in May of this year. Second, a comment on said YouTube channel suggests:
They may have avoided issues thus far, but doing ZSJL might be enough to get themselves shut down. People do stupid, illegal shit all the time. Its almost always a matter of time before they get smacked for it.

How is this appealing? I recall that in recent years, companies released some 70s and 80 films on blu ray, but in a VHS box as a sort of retro collectible, but a real VHS tape on a film made long after the VHS format faded? The cultural connection is not there for any 21st century film.
Apparently this is something he pitched as a Star Wars movie and he is reworking it? It looks less and less like he will be coming back for anymore Justice League movies, according to recent interviews there are still people at WB he has issues with and nothing will move until they are gone.
