While we still don't have news of the season premiere or even a trailer,
there is a whole lot of other news.
Four new people have joined the cast:
New cast members are Amybeth McNulty, Myles Truitt, Regina Ting Chen, and Grace Van Dien. McNulty plays Vickie, “a cool, fast-talking band nerd who catches the eye of one of our beloved heroes.” Truitt is Patrick, “a Hawkins basketball star who has friends, talent, and a good life... until shocking events send his life spiraling out of control.” Ting Chen is Ms. Kelly, “a popular guidance counselor who cares deeply for her students—especially those struggling the most.” And Van Dien is Chrissy, “Hawkins’ High lead cheerleader and the most popular girl in school. But beneath the seemingly perfect surface lies a dark secret.”
The Duffer Brothers introduce McNulty in particular in
this short Twitter video.
Starting on June 29, Robin will be hosting a six-part fictional podcast called
Rebel Robin leading up to a new novel of the same name, written by by A.R. Capetta. Here's a trailer for the podcast:
Lastly,
Stranger Things will be incorporated into two games, SMITE and Magic: The Gathering. I've never heard of the first one and I never got into the second, but I imagine that's exciting news for people who do play them.
The show is still filming in Atlanta so I guess we won't be getting the next season anytime soon so these new tie-ins will have to do for now.
