Spoilers Stranger Things - Season 4

That was my first thought too. They're at the age right now where they can practically grow several inches overnight.

Well, as of last season, most of them no longer look like the ages of their characters, so imagine what they will look like in season 4...

So timejump it is for Season 4 - as i said earlier doing a show with kids right in the middle of puberty means you either have a plan or film fast. No one could imagine Covid happening so a small/medium timejump wouldn't be the worst solution.

That would put them in 1987, the year of Dirty Dancing, Princess Bride, Predator, and Robocop.
Finn Wolfhard just played the role of the Grandson (and a couple of other minor roles) for the recent Princess Bride reunion. Hopefully we get some references there. :D

I was also thinking that the kids would probably be moving away from pop radio by now and developing their own tastes--Smiths, Cure, etc. That was also the year the REM released Document--in August.

And of course they could be more interested in Husker Du or heavier music. Personally I would love to see HD, Sonic Youth, or Jane's Addiction on the sound track so the young kids today learn that Grunge-style music didn't start with Nirvana.

Probably. Placing them in high school--perhaps as juniors would be appropriate since the series should have the feel of moving toward a conclusion. Now they will need to explain what the characters who are aged out of high school (Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, & Robin) will still be around to be involved in the plots, since one would assume at least half would have tried to move on, and just out of town like Jonathan.

I'm not sure they would bother; the false claims about Nirvanna have been gold-stamped by the media for decades, and no one seems to want to set history straight thanks to Cobain's fate. Its almost as bad as people who continue to argue that rock started with Elvis.

Off topic: While we wait for season four, I highly recommend watching Enola Holmes with Millie Bobby Brown. It's an absolute delight and Brown steals every scene she's in.

Robert England is just one of several new additions to the cast.
Jamie Campbel Bower will be playing Peter Ballard "a caring man who works as an orderly at a psichiatric hospital and is tired of the brutality he witnesses day after day."
Tom Wlaschiha will be playing Dimitri, "a Russian prison guard who befriends Hopper".
Nikola Djuricko will be playing Yuiri, "a seedy and unpredictable Russian smuggler who loves bad jokes, cold hard cash, and crunchy style peanut butter".
Joseph Quinn will play Eddie Munson, "the head of The Hellfire Club, Hawkins High's official D&D club, who finds himself at the epicenter of this season's new mystery."
Sherman Augustus will be playing Lt. Colonel Sullivan, "who thinks he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins once and for all."
Eduardo Franco will be playing Argyle, Johnathan's new best friend, who is "a fun loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza".

Man, he really gets around! He was born not too far away from my home city Dresden (Germany), and it was here where he did his first theatre plays. Last year he came back to do some poetry reading.

Indeed. The first thing I remember seeing him in was Thrones, but I's since seen him in a fair amount of stuff (dating from before and after)

I've never watched the franchises he's best known for, but I loved his appearance on Babylon 5! :D

Yeah, same here. I distinctly recall seeing him in Poirot, but apparently he was also in a couple of episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures a couple of years before he did Game of Thrones! Clearly I need to go back and rewatch that show.
