Collateral Damage went from the post-Nemesis TNG logo back to the show's logo, so I think that battle was already lost. At this point it seems like they're using the logo that's most distinctive.

I really like the Ds9 Cover art with Jadzia Dax&Kira for Revenant:bolian:

Because it's sort of a complement to the whole "Mirror Universe"/Mirror War thing they'll have going on at that time.

Yeah, that makes sense. But I want to give them my money and they don't want to take it!

I really want for IDW to reprint somewhere the follow up story from one of DC TNG specials.

I thought it would have been nice if IDW's reprint of Debt of Honor included the sequel story from the DC Special. Probably wasn't practical.

A brilliant cover. I'm glad they didn't go with Worf on the cover like the TNG novel.

I'm so excited about Revenant! I've been reading the author's Alien books to see how they do with tie-in fiction and they're amazing. Tight plotting and pacing, excellent character work, and a deep understanding of and respect for the source material coupled with a willingness to dig into the concepts. If White vibes with DS9 as well as they do with Alien this book is going to be a treat.

That depends on when the book takes place - I haven’t seen anything that spoke to when it’s taking place, so the door’s open for it to be set in the first three seasons.

Though Kira’s hair on that cover does make me think season four-ish. But that’s not always an indicator.

Don’t know why but I got the impression that it’s set during Season 6. Can’t find anything to back that up though.

White has confirmed that there is lots of Worf in the book.

I haven't seen this mentioned by anyone yet?:
"Fan Fiction: A Mem-Noir: Inspired by True Events" by Brent Spiner with Jeanne Darst (St Martin's Press, October, 2021). Will also be an audio book narrated by Brent.

I should have clarified; these two novels were announced, together, as having a focus on the female characters of DS9 and TNG. That will probably be true, but the fact that the TNG cover featuring Worf and Worf only seems disingenuous.

SOT: There is only one TOS novel this year, AFAIR. Are there any scheduled for 2022?

We’re a little while yet before hearing about what is on next year’s schedule - I think it’s usually not until August or so that we start hearing announcements that go in to the following year.

My guess is there will be at least one. But if I were a betting man, with the litverse being wrapped up with Coda in 2021, most of 2022 will tie into the different paramount+ series. With maybe a sprinkling of TOS, TNG, DS9 and/or VOY set during the different tv series runs. I think these new TNG and DS9 books in 2021 are test runs to see how well they sell. I for one cant wait to get both.
