That last sentence kind of undercuts the previous one... ;)

Anyway, Tellarites don't have tusks either, except in their Discovery redesign.

Indeed. And be nice to see more.

But, yeah, it's an interesting design for a Tellarite. But, Tellarites were a mistake in my opinion so maybe this might change it. Skeptical, given the actor, but open to it.

Having gone through most of the first four seasons of Voyager, I haven't got to the point where they would be close to the border between Beta and Delta. I did note during the viewing that the distance between the Voyager and Federation space changed, from 70,000 light years to 75,000 light years, then after the jump made possible by Kes the Voyager was 60,000 light years from FS.

The one character I want to see they have been coy about and that is the ship.

Overdue, if you ask me. Given how many Trek shows are dominated by human characters, it's nice to see the balance shift the other way at last. We tried that in the novels with Star Trek: Titan, giving it a crew that was majority-nonhuman and had quite a few nonhumanoids, but it still had a human captain and first officer, among others.

Maybe they'll keep her turned on too long and she'll develop sentience like the Doctor.

I'm actually a bit surprised it took this long for a Tellarite main character given the franchise's history of glorious ham.

I looked for any reference to the "Vau N'Akat" and I only found it references in the old Illuminerdi leak a few months back that I, and a bunch of others, dismissed when news of the Delta Quadrant setting and images of the characters showed up.

Since the characters in that still don't line up with these teenagers, I'm going with the assumption that the Illuminerdi crew are antagonists on the show, searching for the missing ship (per that article) which is crewed by the teens and Holo-Janeway, and we'll probably follow two storylines as they evade and search for one another. The Vau N'Akat in the Illuminerdi leak is an undercover Starfleet ensign, and the one here seems to be out in the open. Possibly sibling rivalry or something of the sort.

I hope I’m not going to be as disappointed with the reveal of the ship as I was with the Cerritos.

Better yet, the Medusan is genderless. Never really made sense to refer to an incorporeal whatsis as "he."

So she really is a Brikar. I wonder if she knows Zak Kebron. :)
Seems odd that she would be in the delta quadrant. Same for the Medusuan

According to the scuttlebutt, she's only 8 years old, so she probably doesn't know that many people.

Its supposedly a bunch of kids. So hopefully they know no one outside their family. Janeway is sufficient fan service.

I don't think we know "officially" where either of their home planets are. Well not for Brikars anyway, don't remember what was specified about Medusa's. So out past the far Romulan border should work fine.

Most of them are adolescents, though it might be tough to classify the one in the bot body as any age.
