Spoilers The Bad Batch - Season 1 Discussion [cue A-Team theme music]

Do we see the slavers use it properly (do we see anyone who could use it in anger use it in anger? Perhaps if Wrecker, say, were to use it in battle then he'd be able to draw it properly and it *would* become an awesome weapon (as would kinda happen with a real bow).

In "Rampage", the poor little rancor shrugs off multiple shots from these bows; misses punch tiny glowing holes in rock. Might be the slavers were holding back so as not to lose the profitable captive, though. Yet we see the same holes appear in rocks when the goons are shooting at Echo with the clear intent to kill.

But if the weapon is indeed intended for a different species, all bets are off. It's just weird that the slavers would pack nothing but it, and the whip they also use for fighting Muchi and Hunter, if something more suited to their physique and without the drawbacks were available as well.

Of course the real reason is that StarWars has a thing for "modernising" traditional weapons and it was just the bow's turn!

Well, purplish energy bows were very much a thing on Dathomir before Dooku and Grievous made short work of the whole place. Along with purplish energy spears IIRC...

I'm sure we'll have great fun trying to figure out blaster-based throwing-stars.

Really looking forward to that one. Although would the spinning lightsaber rigs of the Inquisitors qualify?

Like they accidentally changed his paint scheme between shots? Either everyone at Lucasfilm is deeply confused by this droid for some reason, or they're intentionally fucking with the wiki editors...if the latter, I approve! ;)
It was just lighting, no?

Finally remembered to watch the last episode this morning.
Visiting the decommissioning facility was a nice way to show more of the transition from the Republic to the Empire, and the aftermath of the Clone Wars.
It was fun seeing the Martez sisters again.
I skipped the last few so I haven't seen if there's a popular theory for who the Martezes were talking at the end. Given the sisters' history the obvious person would be Ahsoka, but I'm not sure if they'd want to bring her into this show too, after just reintroducing her in The Mandalorian. The fact that they were showed so little of them makes me think it was someone with a very unique look, and showing more than what we saw would give away their identity.
StarWars.com has posted an interview with Michelle Ang, the actress who voices Omega.

I love Rosario Dawson to death and I love her as Ahsoka, but if character shows up in animation I will scream bloody murder at the top of my fan boy lungs if she isn't portrayed by Ashley Eckstine.
Yup, same. The animated world is Ashley's domain.

Now, if Ahsoka inexplicitly (but welcomingly) pops up in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, then I'm fine with Rosario reprising the role.

Gahh, I haven't been keeping up on suff and I didn't even realize the show had started yet! I'm now on the second episode. Good stuff.

I've forgotten so much of The Clone Wars and Rebels that I didn't realize Caleb was Kanan.

No. Go up-thread for the comparison pictures.

I don't think there's any danger of them not bringing in Ashley, if for no other reason that they've already brought Andrew Kishino back as young Saw despite Forest Whitaker being clearly up for voicing the character in animation.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but given the above precedent with Saw; I suspect the way it's likely to work is Ashley does everything pre-OT regardless of medium, while post OT is all Rosario (yes I know; tRoS! But let's just ignore that for now...or like, in general...)

I also suspect that IF Ahsoka is showing up in 'Kenobi', it'll likely be 1) a flashback to the Clone Wars and 2) brief. The way I'd do it is cast someone that looks like a 15 year old Rosario Dawson (or just has the appropriate build) and have Ashley do the voice.
To give an example of how I think it could work: say the flashback is (unsurprisingly) a scene between Ewan and Hayden, when the exchange ends and Hayden goes to leave and says something like "come on Snips...", and from off screen comes the response "coming Master!" and we see young Ahsoka run in from out of frame to join him as he leaves, never actually showing her face.

Not to mention the fact this show keeps Dee Bradley Baker as the Clone voices despite Temuera Morrison's involvement with The Mandalorian.

This was probably just for budget's sake, but in Battlefront 2 they had him voice Boba, but the Clones were all still voiced by Dee.

The Clones have a ton more voice lines than Boba, so I'm going with budget reasons. But it could have also been for recognizability.

But can you imagine Temuera doing these silly emotes? lmao.

Somehow I doubt Temuera has a significantly higher voice acting fee than Dee. They likely cast him because his voice is by far the one most associated with the clones and he has orders of magnitude more experience with this kind of thing.

I finished watching the six episodes that have been released. Is that everything for this season?

Wikipedia speaks of a 16-episode total run, FWIW. No specific mention of division into seasons.

Well, I was correct that Rex's involvement would be in the episode where they had their chips removed. And we also know who the Martez sisters were talking to last week. I hope we see more of Rex as they certainly left that door open. The friendship between Wrecker and Omega is cute.
