So 7 days from today the 2020 European Championships in 2021 will start in Rome with Italy vs. Turkey.

ALL FIXTURES FROM UEFA.COM

The first Euro's to be held across the continent rather than in 1 or 2 host countries.

There will be 51 matches played across 11 cities between 11 June – 11 July 2021 with VAR being used for the 1st time in the history of the Championships. There will also be reduced capacities of fans attending and the final at Wembley, London is expected to be 50,000 of the 90,000 capacity though this could change either up or down by the time of the final.

So a year late but it's here. Who is watching from BBS? and who do you think will be crowned champions of Europe 5 years after Portugal won their 1st ever European title after defeating hosts France 1-0 in Euro 2016.

Based off the last week, England doesn't have a chance of winning the Euro's. All the good work from 2018/2019 has been slowly undone by negative tactics, injuries and now the fans deciding abusing their own players by booing the knee is more important the supporting the team.

France
Belgium
Portugal
Italy
Spain
England
Germany

A month ago I would of put England joint 3rd with Portugal but our squad looks so tired and carrying knocks here, there & everywhere. The loss of Maguire at CB for some or all of the Euro's really cripples our already shaky defence.

You can’t read anything into the past week; how many of those players make the real starting XI? No City/Chelsea players ready yet which happen to be some of the best on the team.

But yes, the booing is abhorrent.

I reckon it'll be business as usual for England.

Top flight players that put in great performances and deliver results week in, week out for their clubs will come together and forge a thoroughly mediocre team that most Premier or even Championship sides would comfortably see off.

Italy open the tournament with an emphatic 3-0 win over Turkey; Mancini has this team looking pretty dangerous.

Italy took their time because in first half their finishing was dreadful so of course it was an own goal that got the ball rolling. Italy do look very good and based off that performance I wonder why Turkey even bothered to turn up at EURO 2020. Good chance for Wales tomorrow to get one foot in the Last 16.

I support Italy and i am glad that they are off to a winning start. I have been a fan of Italy since the 1990 World Cup, during the days of Roberto Baggio.

But i do feel that France, England, Belgium and Portugal are the favorites to win Euro 2020.

My beloved Italy might end their run in the quarter or semi finals. If they win Euro 2020, i would be ecstatic.

Wales start their run in about 45 mins, can we see another shock run like in 2016 when they reached the Semi Finals.

Good point for Wales and if they beat Turkey then 4 points will surely guarantee them one of best 3rd place finishes though they could secure 2nd even with defeat to Italy.

OMG Christian Eriksen has collapsed and they've spent the last 10 minutes trying to revive him on the pitch.

:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Jesus Christ.

Football doesn't seem very important at the moment, does it ?

Edit - Indications are that Christian Eriksen is conscious, which is great news.

They stabilized him and he is sent to a hospital. I hope he'll recover eventually.

In 10 minutes they'll decide how to proceed....

Seeing them actually doing chest compressions (and at one point I think I saw his body jerking from being defibrillated) was horrifying. Thank goodness he seems to be okay now.
