Legalities? I was just using the Ares V as a metaphor for something huge and expensive that was eventually cancelled and never built.

 

I meant legalities in general, not specific to the Ares-V (obviously, there are none that apply here).

TL;DR: The studio is moving, a new 501c3 is being formed for donations, an audio drama of the original script is coming out (this year iirc), and the goalposts have been shifted officially to 2022 for the release.

 

I don't know, $2.4M just for Axanar and who knows how much for previous con-jobs sounds like he's pretty good at it.

Curious, one would think he was at least somewhat charismatic in person. Maybe you're better than most at seeing through bullshit.

You know, it really is kind of impressive that Alec Peter has managed to keep this con going for so long, and it sounds like there are no signs he's going to be stopping any time soon.
At the same time, it's kind of sad that there are enough naïve people out there that he can keep getting enough $$$$$ from them to keep it all going.
