If Jim Morrison is Mr. Mojo Risin', is Van Morrison Mr. Novo Rasin'?
An associate of mine believes that the disease's release in the US was a planned event by China. Not saying I totally agree, but consider the following: the Covid lockdown destroyed the economy (which was stronger than ever before), drove Trump (who wouldn't play nice with China) out of power, and ushered in a far more socialist and internationalist government ("America First" means "other nations second or not at all"). You can't say China hasn't benefited from this.
...And I never will. I could never forgive him for the death of my brown-eyed girl.Just wanted to say I've never liked Morrison...
Oh, no, Trump lied about the pandemic. At the same time he was making public statements that COVID-19 was no worse than the flu and it would all blow over shortly, Trump was also on the phone with Bob Woodward talking about how deadly it was. (The fact that he was stupid enough to let Woodward record their phone conversations...)Not lie, just wishful thinking, mainly about his own abilities.
Just reread that, he comes across as totally delusional about his ability to control reality. (Hence not lying as such, he believes it to be the real truth).Oh, no, Trump lied about the pandemic. Whether or not Trump is actually delusional and believes the shit that spews forth from his lips to be the truth, it doesn't change the fact that he is a liar. This sort of equivocating nonsense is why there are members of Congress spouting bullshit about the election being stolen and the January 6th insurrectionists being "peaceful" and "like a tour group."Just reread that, he comes across as totally delusional about his ability to control reality. Oh, I despise him, sleep better now he's out of office, and the worst evil often comes from people who are so delusional that they believe their own lies.Whether or not Trump is actually delusional and believes the shit that spews forth from his lips to be the truth, it doesn't change the fact that he is a liar. Name one.I don't like Trump. I don't respect him. I don't think that the leader of the free world should be calling his opponents names like a 9-year-old kid on a playground. And his actions during the Capitol insurrection were criminal. But, there are some things he was good at.
Translation: I have a batshit stupid conspiracy theory I want to float by you guys, but I know I'll look bad if I say I believe it, so I'll just say it comes from "an associate of mine" instead.
You should have blamed the Biden trojan horse theory on your phantom associate too, because it kind of gives away that you're fully immersed in conspiracy quackery and trimming at the hedges of the Marjorie Taylor-Greenery.
Name one.[thing Trump did well]
He's better than anyone at getting impeached.
He managed to deliver, more or less successfully, a speech which was written for him by someone else, and a fair percentage of it was later confirmed to be more or less true. That bar is set so high that he'd be able to limbo under it easily without removing the lifts from his shoes.Try reading an analysis of his 2020 state of the union address. While a few of the things he said required a certain amount of context, nearly all of it was admitted to be true, and a lot of it was the whole truth.
One can but speculate, then, how great would be that surprise had he been good, over the course of four years, at anything more than the presentation of a single speech (for which he no doubt received beforehand so much coaching and thorough rehearsal by hisAs someone who dislikes the man greatly, it surprised me.
