Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Huh. When Eaglemoss sent me three different emails back-to-back, I assumed they would all be sent in one efficient package.

Nope. Shran yesterday, Sirena should show up today and... the USPS has no idea where Zheng He is.

Are the CG models from Beyond lost as well?
That I do not know.

However, Beyond was the first Trek production where Eaglemoss was involved before it came out. Ben Robinson had seen some production art on the Franklin before it appeared on screen.

Ben reaffirmed the Vertical Warbird concept, and the USS Defiant concept.

Oh, and IF possible he'll do the NSEA Protector for 2021:

I hope these are still happening.

I always thought the TOS Connie was fine. It was the refit that had the funky, extra fat secondary hull.

the paint jobs on all of them are really good. The E-D and E-A (fat hull and all) are really the standouts.

I finally located the bag in the closet that my JL and Furuta ships were so unceremoniously dumped in when I moved. Not sure what I'll do with then, given my limited space, most of which is taken up by Eaglemoss model, but nice to see them again.

For the record, I pulled out the refit and compared it to the Eaglemoss 1701-A (both have a white color sceme, as opposed to the more gray scheme of the Eaglemoss refit). Aside from being 5-10% smaller scale, it seems to me they're pretty much the same in terms of proportions. The secondary hull doesn't seem "fat" me.

They also did a swell job on the NX-01 (I have three, the original, the "battle damaged one", and the mirror universe one).

Where is that info coming from?
AFAIK the Armstrong's announcement came as a complete surprise, and nothing has been said officially on the other ships.

Also, in terms of the trilogy, Ben has previously ruled out making the USS Salcombe from ST: Beyond.

I've seen this info on memory alpha for quite some time now but I don't remember exactly where it came from. I think it was in an interview, maybe with IrishTrekkie? Shame about Salcombe though.

There were loads of little vehicles in Beyond, like a four-nacelled police-light flashing starship inside Yorktown, and the bulky Akira-style Salcombe: https://www.thetrekcollective.com/2...ae-NF7okqioHHlTIfLIpv-Dl25v8NIKuNdS31-Syo9lrE

Eaglemoss's own Designing Starships Kelvin Timeline lists a "forgotten starship" that I am wholly unfamiliar with.

I am totally surprised Eaglemoss never churned out John Harrison's attack craft from Into Darkness. This movie also gave us some police vehicles, plus the fighter jets(?) at the end of the movie.

And dammit we NEED the Enterprise-A! Special and XL, please.
That tiny ship at Starbase One in ST'09 is the USS Realta NCC-0184, seen up close in the Fleet Command mobile game.

It blows my mind they had some USS Vengeance design cues in a background ship 4 years before.

Also, 315 meters? What are they smoking?

The Mayflower dwarfs the 725m Enterprise in the movie, so 236m is entirely wrong there too. There's a size comparison chart in the Art of the Movie book, for crying out loud!

EDIT: They got their sizes from Ex Astris Scientia's "estimations"

I'd say the Mayflower saucer scene is a bit of...VFX funny scaling. But I'd say the saucers are roughly the same diameter as Enterprise's.

Oh no :cardie:
It was so sad when Bernd had such a meltdown about the new timeline and its ships. Building ships smaller and larger depending on Starfleet's technology and resources should not be such big matter (no pun intended).

True. It's doubly frustrating that he accepts Discovery's ship sizes (750m USS Discovery! 440m Enterprise!) without too much complaint, but still insists the Kelvin Enterprise isn't 725m. Sigh.
