Actor Noel Clarke accused of harrassment

Anyway, ITV have just pulled the final episode of the series Clarke was starring in which is significant. It was due to be broadcast tonight.

His management and production company have also said they no longer represent him.

"read the room" and decide if it's okay to play.
I'd rather air on the side of caution and not play at all unless they were long term friends that i knew very well. I think a room can be misread and people who laugh and smile at some things might be deeply uncomfortable.

Like for example having someone slap their tallywacker on your head

But this is the first time I've ever heard even a whiff of anything about Tennant. Can you elaborate on the veracity of that claim?
I don't recall exactly, it's been twelve-plus years since I heard the tale. I seem to recall a dick size contest was also involved. Possibly related, Billie Piper's nickname for Tennant was reportedly "Ten Inch."
The story I remember from an interview with Barrowman way back when only contains a vague implication regarding Tennant. In the interview, Barrowman mentioned he and the other guys on Torchwood had all compared their dick sizes (as he explained it "girls always compare their tits, guys compare their dicks"). Later on in the interview while discussing Tennant, Barrowman comments "do you know David's nickname?" presumably referencing the aforementioned "David Ten Inch" nickname and then added "he would certainly fit in with the guys on Torchwood."

The thing to keep in mind with stories of Barrowman whipping it out is that a lot of the times he's been egged on by others around him, like in the case of an infamous radio interview in which he dropped his pants in front of a webcam. Sure, he's still a grown adult and responsible for his own actions, but at the same time, you can't really accuse someone of being a sexual predator when everyone around them is goading them to drop their pants.

As for all this stuff about Noel Clarke, all I have to say is it's a disappointing thing to learn. I'd like to say "innocent until proven guilty" and though I do generally believe in that statement, there is also truth to the statement "where there's smoke, there's fire" and there's a whole lot of smoke here.

Innocent until proven guilty, odd timing, etc, but this does not sound good (and he'll vanish down the Kevin Spacey pit, if only partially true).

Very disappointed about Noel Clarke, even if I still like his Mickey alter ego. Though some viewers felt something "off" about Noel Clarke (I felt he got angrier and edgier as a celeb with Kidadulthood, etc).

And the Doctor sure picks 'em (when Bruno Langley, aka Adam, got convicted for inappropriate sexual assaults).

The show is actually very good. I really feel sorry for the other actors and those involved in the production, it must suck for them. ITV has taken it off air but you can find it on their streaming app, ITV hub, so that those who’ve followed it won’t have had their time wasted by not seeing how it ends.

I’ve always liked Clarke onscreen but I read the article and found it very convincing and depressing. I think his career is probably over now, but if so, he has nobody to blame but himself.

Myles' telling of the story was very, very funny, and she also said he'd whip it out at the drop of a hat.

The circumstances of Barrowman patting Myles' head "with his todger!" -- you never forget Eve Myles saying that -- were these.

There were in rural Wales filming "Countryside," and it was miserable and cold, and Myles' outfit wasn't especially warm, so she was freezing. Barrowman, with that heavy coat Captain Jack wears, was toasty as a clam, and he took pity on her. "C'mon, get under my coat," and he opened up his coat, and she kneeled down so she was between his legs with her head poking out. She thought this was nice and cozy, especially when Barrowman started patting her on her head... until she realized he was doing it not with his hand but "with his todger!"

Thanks for the clarification on both Barrowman and Tennant.

Yup, and there’s nothing more important than the victims, like, at all but there’s a lot of other people going to suffer because of his behaviour even if he were to turn out innocent.

Boorish fratboyism is still something to be leery of and it seems slightly odd the assholery in the entertainment only now is getting rooted at a rate of knots (it's a sea change, not seen in millennia, really).
And so it should because there’s no need for it in any walk of life.

Sometimes online I’m accused of being’woke’ (as if that’s a negative or something) but I prefer to think of myself as simply not a c__t.

Who felt something was "off" about Noel Clarke? This time, I didn't really sense it (and unfortunately he slowly won me over towards the end of S1).

Can’t say I did, honestly thought he seemed like a stand-up sort of guy. That’s the problem, isn’t it, “nice” guys aren’t always good guys.
I didn't like him. I found him so off-putting in Who I've tried to avoid other things with him in.

I'm not precognative - I had no intuition he was abusive, I just thought he was annoying and a crap actor. Where I did see him in other stuff, he hadn't improved.

Having said that (and, given the number of accusations it's pretty unlikely to be not true), nothing's proven yet. There's been a lot of action already taken that might have been better taken as part of a formal response.

I couldn't even do that with my partner/girlfriend/wife. Doesn't matter how well I know them.

No. I'm surprised and disappointed. He seemed like an upstanding guy. I'm not basing that solely on his acting but interviews with him and his passion for making movies. He has a wife and 3 kids. I wouldn't have imagined it.

I liked Noel, followed him a twitter for awhile and had the sense he was a decent guy. Didn't love his character on Doctor who but that doesn't matter... there's a difference between 'locker room crass behavior' and what Noel has been accused of doing, with multiple women and it goes back a long time. The problem with claims like this and why its so hard to prove is people can say anything and if there's no evidence, its harder to believe them but that doesn't mean it didn't happen and it seems here there is clear evidence in some of these claims.. (the article mentioned explicit images on his hard drive or something to that effect, that he didn't have permission to take that I'm sure are now gone before the police could look into it.)

I found his Mickey character irritating initially, though I thought Noel Clarke improved as an actor, and he felt almost part of the family as a more grounded guy (which really hurts when I learned of the many accusations).

I still think the timing is odd (right after his award) and the accusations still feel "off" (but my fondness for Mickey is making me give the possible creep/flawed man behind him a benefit of a doubt).

I don't want to be part of a lynchmob.

Very sad news but, as Jay Severin used to say, if there’s one, there may or may not be one. But if there’s two, there’s twenty. If there’s three, there’s thirty. I said the same thing when the first woman accused Cuomo, and that list just kept on growing too.
Won’t stop me from watching Who reruns, though. He’s a good actor.
