I've often wondered how aware dogs are of their tails. At times they almost seemed confused when they hit stuff with them, like they didn't understand that their tail was a part of them. I've also seen videos of dogs attacking their own tails, which I wouldn't expect them to do if they were aware of them.

my friend posted this image on their fb feed thinking it was cute --- but somebody memed it and, I saw it, and let her know her image was memed and viral -- she laughed.--
