Not what I meant, but yes. But what I actually meant was: We've seen 2024 and we've seen 2063. We got a glimpse of 2079, assuming Q's version wasn't exaggerated. But there's 100 years to work with. You don't show 1924, 1963, and 1979, then say, "That's it! We've seen the 20th Century!" So it would be the same with the 21st. I think they'll show us the 21st Century juuust before World War III starts. So what we'll see is kind of like our time, but not. Or they'll just be like, "Screw it! Let's just show 2021! The real version of it, not the Star Trek version. Because we're shooting this in 2021!" And they'll do some commentary about how primitive 21st Century Humanity is. Which is A) true to TNG, and B) something I'm not going to argue with given what we've actually seen of this century in Real Life. If I could somehow go back in time and tell my younger self what the early-2020s will be like, I'd never believe myself. EDITED TO ADD: If I were Captain Picard in first season TNG, and I was reading a YouTube Comments Section from Today, I'd have same exact opinion as he did about Humans from this time. That's the record those people are leaving of us. They're embarrassing all of us for posterity.
Spoiler She doesn't have her brow decorations, but does it look like one eye is paler than the other in the photo? Maybe she got an ocular implant, a la Hugh.
Spoiler Hmm, I can't say I see any differences between the two eyes Maybe her left eye? If it's paler it's so subtle I can't tell if it's paler or I'm seeing things
I think it's just meant to be one of those spinning rings for gravity. Metro Local is a real LA bus service, so I wonder if they're actually going to be in 21st century California, or if they'll edit/hide the bus livery in post-production.
I'm wondering if they'll CGI the eyepiece? Jeri has said in the past that it kept falling off on Voyager. It seems as if we're witnessing the sausage-making portion of filming a TV show (figuratively speaking).
I think it would be easier to just explain why she doesn’t have it anymore rather than waste time and resources constantly CGI’ing it onto her face.
Maybe they will finally give us the Klingons trying to kill JFK story we have literally been waiting decades to see. Turns out it was Worf all along. Picard uses the power of his speech to talk him out of it.
No. She probably doesn't have it because they're in the past. You know, for blending in and all that. If this is Q doing this, he probably hid it himself.
Didn't Voyager's EMH wave a wand over Seven's implant and make it fade away for an incognito episode in Voyager?
Clearly the Fenris Rangers had a really bad healthcare plan and she couldn't afford to have it replaced. Once she rejoined the Federation, it was smooth sailing from there!
If you click on the link below and look at the Special Plate section, it says that Exempt vehicles current have 7 digits. So, the 8 digit plate presumably indicates that this takes place in the (near) future 21st century. Embarrassed I had to look it up, because I've lived in California for over 20 years... but I guess like someone's shoes, you never really pay attention to the license plate of a bus. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/vehic...fornia-license-plates/special-license-plates/
