I realize Chadwick Boseman has passed away, but has there been any mention in MCU that T'Challa has passed? Is he not still in the background doing King-stuff?

In other news...

I think it depends on who you are and how invested with the comics you were. If you're someone who wasn't a huge comic book reader you prob didn't even know who Sharon Carter was when she first appeared in the MCU and in terms of the MCU she appeared in *ONE* movie.

I didn't know who Peggy was when she first appeared in MCU. (Coincidentally, that blonde that kissed Steve in the file room in The First Avenger totally made me think of Sharon.) Peggy was apparently in a couple of flashbacks to WWII back in the Sixties that I didn't read or don't remember and had to look up. She was an "Aunt May" type character to Sharon in the 70's when Sharon was a major love interest for Steve, coincidentally when Falcon became a regular in Cap. Those stories I read. Sharon has real history in the comics, and a developing history in the MCU.

I mean, hey, it's not a competition. They are their own characters with their own histories. The spotlight is on Sharon now.

Can we address the by-stander's throw away line of "I thought he was on the moon?" He's obviously referencing Steve Rogers' Captain America, yes? Did I miss something?

Wacky conspiracy theory...up there with:

- The U.S. never really landed a man on the Moon, it was all faked in a studio...

- The Earth is actually flat - and all evidence to the contrary has been faked by various world government who want tom keep the 'secret' (No not kidding here - this is a real conspiracy belief by a number of people.)

- 9/11 was a 'False Flag' incident perpetrated by GWB and the CIA...

So, nothing to 'miss' here in that after the whole Thanos thing, of course when an iconic world figure like Captain America just outright 'disappears'; of course their are going to be various crazy theories made up by nut jobs to explain it.

Loved the finale; and as far as Sharon Carter being the Power Broker, don't have an issue as she went through some bad sh*t WRT fallout from the whole Civil War situation - and after 'sparking' a bit with Steve Rogers and doing EVERYTHING to help him, in the end he just leaves her high and dry...

The only thing I felt they stumbled on was the overall ease of Bucky going through the list of names saying "Everything's fine now..." We never really got to see the full reaction of the old man - and it all seemed too quick/pat to me. But yeah, they had to get it in this final episode; and show Bucky had the courage to 'do the work,,,' as Sam put it.

I hope they decide to do a Season 2...but time will tell.

I fully agree. The classic trope of a hero who spends time and energy to hide his real identity from beloveds and friends (who often already are suspecting something) when he could use this time and energy to actually help people, well, this particular trope is no longer welcome and needs to die. And I think that from a moral point of view sometimes this is flat wrong. I mean, Superman regularly mindwiped people who had learned of his secret!

No--at least not in this series, that's why anytime Ayo was on screen, one could not hand-wave the fact T'Challa was not mentioned at all, particularly since the Dora Milaje would not be operating outside of Wakanda without authorization--presumably his.

Exactly--some were/are losing their minds over Sharon becoming a villain, and/or will reference the comics, but the movies never followed the comics to the letter, or developed Sharon much to begin with. They completely dropped the ball after Civil War, so she was still a blank slate to work with. I'm guessing Emily VanCamp would not have returned to the role if she was still stuck in girlfriend / support mode.

What a fantastic series from start to finish. I loved pretty much everything... The interaction between Sam & Bucky, techno Zemo, Isaiah Bradley, Karli, the social commentary, Bucky dealing with his past, the transition of Sam from Falcon to Cap... they even made a boring C level sidekick in Sharon a sorta interesting B level villain. That's a decent trade off in my view.

Looking forward to a rewatch and I can't wait for Cap 4.

There's still no evidence of how Marvel will handle BP moving forward. I kind of assume they have made their decision since BP2 seems to be making progress, but I wouldn't be at all shocked if that decision came way too late to be referenced here.

IIRC, they have said they are not recasting T'Challa but if not elaborated on what that means, though presumably there will be someone else taking on the Black Panther mantle. Regardless, since this show was written while Chadwick Boseman was still alive and keeping his cancer private, no one knew there was any reason to address what T'Challa might be up to, aside from sending his royal guard to apprehend Zemo.

That's not really a question that needs to be asked in this forum but I definitely never liked a single speed by the orange one. The thing is, he wasn't known as a great speaker like Obama was, so I didn't mention him.

I don't see an issue with all the wives, including the mother. I can say from personal experience that being married doesn't mean you're having sex.

The marriages are no doubt to ensure they are all acknowledged as members of the Royal Family with all the decision making authority, and the lineage to the throne.

This was okay. Not a car crash like Wandavision. To be honest I feel the Marvel formula is getting stale. This was packed with enough retcons (regarding the super soldier serum) which gave me Enterprise flashbacks.

They can go interesting places with the idea of a Captain America a (unfortunately rather large) racist chunk of the nation hates, but since it's Marvel they'll probably not go too deep on it.

Indeed. One can start by looking at fans of Marvel's productions; as early as episode two, the usual YouTube channels (some with large subscriber numbers) tore into it for being "woke" and claiming its a "ratings failure" for "going woke" (nevermind how there's no true way of proving causation between an angry fan's perception and a show's alleged performance), and of course for them, "going woke" meant plots involving race. Now, some are whining that "How is it that Sam never said anything about race in the films, and now its this big problem in his life?"

Yeah. As if not saying something at an earlier time meant it was never felt or considered. Some "fans" really do have a simplistic, comic-book mentality.
