I can 100% see Q de-aged for the first ten seconds of his appearence.

"Oh, we're doing human ageing now?"

*snaps fingers and becomes Old Q*

 

That's what I reckon too. I wonder if they would de-age him to look like "Encounter at Farpoint" Q, or to his last appearance in "Q2"? de Lancie had visibly aged between those two episodes anyway (as people do).

Maybe sticking to a mid-TNG era appearance would be the best option.

 

Or they age him up more, like in AGT, just to mock Picard, and then he makes himself 'younger' by removing the makeup XD

 

Chabon is still an EP and writer on the season (I believe he wrote the first two episodes), so I doubt that.

 

I think more wishful thinking is accurate.

 

LOL! I always thought they were threatening to tickle each-other into cosmic annihilation.
They (supposed all powerful beings) looked so silly just standing there claws out, with nothing going on between them!

I'm surprised in the 30 years since, nobody has digitally revisited the scene to at least add some cracking force lightning, or crazy chi energy building up in their palms, or something! .

Does Picard still have the artificial heart?

 

His whole body is new and was fashioned as flesh and blood, so there'd be no reason for that new body to have a tritanium heart.

And "killed" the already living Picard, so they could bring him back to life.

I'm going to guess Season 2 will consist of; shockingly change a bunch of things in the time stream, so they can put them back the way they were.

It was more of thinking aloud,....what if someone asks Picard to come in for a check up on his artificial heart a couple years down? I'm not sure Picard would let Starfleet know what happened...

And I was definitely not trying to sneer and/or be rude. Of course, the new body would come with an "organic" heart.

Or Soong's kid decided it'd be better to put the artificial heart in so not to arouse Starfleet Medical's suspicions for when Picard comes in at his local VA clinic.

 

I just want Gates McFadden back, and then I want Beverly and Picard to finally FINALLY get together and ultimately marry.

 

Nah. Get that woman we saw in Generations....with no explanation of how Picard first knew her. The resulting fan fics and theories would be entertaining.

Now I'm guessing it'll be a combination of Yesterday's Enterprise and Tapestry... perhaps it'll be called Tapestry II
Some tragedy was necessary, cause when it's avoided, the Federation turns evil.

I'd like something like this: Perhaps Q shows him that Rene would've become a dictator... that would be quite a twist! And then Picard himself sets the fire in the past to preserve the timeline...
