At this point I would be surprised if they brought the Kelvin cast back, if they did though they'll have been doing movies longer (2009-2023, 14 years) than either the TOS (1979-1991, 12 years) or TNG (1994-2002, 8 years) casts. Then again they started younger and hadn't had a TV show behind them so who knows.
I reckon it'll be a new cast with references to the Paramount+ shows (and no doubt vice versa).
I wonder what the chances are of say Discovery getting the movie treatment. That's already a few seasons in and its been a while since a TV cast has been "promoted" like that. Discovery has essentially been the main standard bearer of the franchise these past several years and probably the most recent take casual audiences might be familiar with, it would also work as a subtle Paramount+ ad too.
Or maybe they'll retool that Section 31 idea into a movie, starring Michelle Yeoh obviously.
A new Star Wars movie will be coming out in December '23 so they'll probably want to beat them to the punch too.
