Actually, I think there are studies out there that suggest that people who use more profanity are proven to be smarter.
ASIDE FROM THAT HALF-JOKING POINT, profanity is never going to go away. You'll notice that none of the legacy characters utilize the F bombs, so everyone's visage of perfect humanity is pretty much still intact. There are different sects of people. People who use profanity. People who don't. People who like the Beatles. People who like the Rolling Stones. People who like both. People who like neither. The point is, there are maybe ten F bombs in all of season one of Picard. On an average day, I use two or three, but I know people who use a lot more and people who use a lot less. There are different types of people in 2021 just as there are different types of people in the 24th century as portrayed in Star Trek. I don't see a problem with its use. I don't think a temper tantrum over its use or not-use on an online forum is going to change the use in Trek as it stands now. You don't have to like it. Piece has been said. We move on.
