Spoilers WandaVision discussion thread

As I said in my review, I absolutely loved it. The dueling went from lasers, phasing, and general destruction of Westview (which was fun on its own) to a philosophical discussion because of course the ultimate battleground between two sentient synthezoids would be about higher thinking instead of just slugging it out.

It's gotten me thinking, I might actually enjoy a Superman movie with him dealing with an alien invader that ends with him intellectually debating with them that maybe invading Earth isn't worth the trouble and they leave nonviolently.

Anybody catch the play on Man of Steel in the fight between the two Visions? :techman:
It was more a callback to Civil War

How did everyone feel about how Vision managed to resolve the conflict with a philosophical, intellectual conversation once he realized that they were too equally matched in power?

Myself, I loved it.

Some folks might see it as anticlimactic, but I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a Big Budget CBM that ends with the Hero negotiating things philosophically with the "Villain" now.

I know WW1984 tried that, but still.
I enjoyed as well. It was the best talking down of an A.I. since the film Dark Star:

(Luckily for the White Vision there was no idiot like officer Pinback to screw the whole thing over. ;))

What a great ending, I love the fight between the Vision's, I wish that Superman's fight with Zod ended like that in "Man of Steel".

And everything with Wanda was great!
Elizabeth Olsen is really a fantastic actress. I really hope we get to see a lot more of her in the future

Zod was a Genocidal Maniac and not interested in chatting. He made it very clear he would kill every single Human Being on the planet unless he was stopped and was seconds from making that family into a toastie.

Brings up a lot of stuff talked about in this thread. Plus, Ryan George is hilarious.

Reminded me of how Sheridan and Delenn talked their way out of the Shadow War.

I loved it, for once the solution was not to punch through but logic and philosophy, i.e. straight up talking. It's nice to see that the MCU can deviate occasionally from its standard formula and i hope they do this more often. It's good they found a way to explore characters in a setting that they don't have time for in the movie, it creates a richer and more diverse MCU.

Now if they only had the balls to go R rated occasionally we might get the Netflix shows back, which for me were the best shows coming out of the superhero genre ( Daredevil and Punisher mainly). I would really like Disney to create a sublabel for the MCU for R rated adult themes like they did with the comics with the Max line and explore the darker and more violent stories. One can dream

Stupid I totally forgot that, I haven't seen MOS for a long time
Let me refrase It. I would love to see Superman fighting an enemy like the two Vision's fought :)

The Flash loses knowledge from speed reading after an hour... But Impulse (in the comics 20 years ago) doesn't.

Wally West is white again.

No more lip service to the CW?
I think the black Wally is still around, I'm pretty sure I saw him on a cover of one of the newer Teen Titans issues.
The production team and support crew will be tasked with an all new, all different Marvel Character to jouzz up.
Jouzz?

I loved it, it was a nice change of pace from the usual fights.

Joujes?

I tried googling the correct spelling.

Some thing I heard once on Queer Eye.

You couldn't see it, but they were hacking each other's servers too.

Yep. They've co-existed since Wally was brought back years ago. Wallace, as he called, has been a regular fixture in both the Flash and Teen Titans books. Wally has gone by "Flash" since he came back and will be the star of the Flash title starting this month.

That would be a Superman movie I would actually like to watch.

Of course, I'm certain many fans would be foaming at the mouth at "such a waste of power!"

...which would make it all the more worthwhile! ;)

Reminded me of how Sheridan and Delenn talked their way out of the Shadow War.
If I recall correctly, that annoyed a lot of fans.

(I also loved that ending)

I don't know what it is because this guy barely ever changes his script, but I laugh every single time.

OK, that's what I thought, but I couldn't remember for sure if the cover I was thinking of was after or before the original Wally came back.
