This is a challenging topic to the thread "things that frustrate us all".

There must be many good things is this world that make us happy or happier, let's kick bad things out of here.

What are things that make you happy?

Is it easier or more human nature to talk about bad things and complain than tell others what is good and makes us happy?

Share your happy thoughts if you wish.

To be fair, we do have a 120-page thread dedicated to talking about the good things that happen to us.

(Not saying that there's anything wrong with having this thread, too, since the focus is different. But just pointing out that we don't *only* complain! :p)

    A good set of scuba dives or snorkeling session;
    A good bottle of red wine;
A great ski run/day on the mountain...

    Cheers,

    1. Having all the ducks in a row... Or at least my ducks in a row..

    2. Knowing with out doubt as an absolute fact of facts that everything is okay.. Because everything is ok.. If not better than ok.. Sorta grandness.

    3. When I say this phrase "Nam myoho renge kyo." Being my Buddhist mantra.. Of many. (Pure happiness)

    4. Feeling the feeling of joy and happiness is so wonderfully happy.

    5. To be continued.

    Sorry, didn't notice/remember that thread.
I'm not saying that this forum in particular is complaining about things, sometimes it feels everybody everywhere are more about telling what's wrong rather than what is good.

This forum feels like it's more about what is good. :) Come to think of it, this thread might be useless. :)

Nope, not useless at all. Look at all the replies. You've already prompted people to think of happy things. :)

YAAY, making the world a better place on forum one member at a time :)
I think I must mention something happy related to the topic, I'm sure I'll forget to mention more than a few, but....
    Happy Things:
    - Quality television entertainment, such as Star Trek in few forms, season 1 of 24, Men Behaving Badly (UK original), Futurama, Kummeli, 2 and a ½ men (<< sorry about that), How I Met Your Mother and Friends (series), also actual friends are happy things :) I don't even know how many series I forgot to mention.
    - FAMILY
    - good music
    - good medication
    - this house/apartment that I live in and have lived since I was 5 year old in late 1987.
    - sweets
    - my 2 Volvos
    - lovely goddaughter

    That's just a few, I'm sure there's more.

A decent snowy winter (although my heart goes out to those dealing with the snowpocalypse).

A cold night, a warm fire, my purring cat in my lap, me either reading a good book or watching a great movie. Some chocolate or popcorn and other munchies and yeah that would be a happy night!

Really good Fanvids/music videos on YouTube.
My mom's sugar free pumpkin cake that she only makes for my birthday because if I had year-round access I would be the size of Ganymede.

A little ritual the wife and I have when we argue, known as the "Happy Dance of Being Right."
    Cat antics.
That little endorphin rush when a new package arrives from Amazon or Eaglemoss.

    Roughly in this order:

    Grandchildren

    Good music
(mostly Deep Purple, Nightwish and Queen, but really anything)
Certain TV programmes (Person of Interest, The West Wing, Leverage, Good Omens, Justified, Still Game, Longmire, Perfect Strangers (US title: Almost Strangers), Jesse Stone, The Good Place, first among many)

Good writers (Terry Pratchett, William Gibson, George MacDonald Fraser and Clive James, again the first of many)

Nightwish reaction videos on YT. When the YTer puts on 'Ghost Love Score' (Wacken 2013), says, "I've never heard of this band, let's see what they've got," and ten minutes sitting there with their jaws on the floor, having gone through a range of gestures (raised eyebrows, "Wow!", "Jesus!", devil horns and air punches, then a range of shock and awe gestures when the singer hits her final note). By watching their reactions, I get to relive the awe I felt when I first saw them.
