Some more progress on the bridge. Biggest thing was finishing those main "pillars" that go all around the bridge. The thing I am trying to do with this whole design is keep it similar enough to the 1701 to evoke it, but not similar enough to be confused with it.
The way I see it is this is a Constitution Class Mark II. So you can't go TOO far away, but you want to give the audience something new to look at as well.
My main goal is to make a sleek and simple design, and not be overly crowded and busy like the 1701.

Biggest change is I pushed the back computer stations into the wall by 4ft.(1.2m) This way the back of the bridge has a sunk in area similar to the Prime-A. I also added the red "cushion" greebles on the back wall as an homage to the Prime-A. I simplified the ceiling as well, because I hated that giant planetarium projector looking thing.

Love the layout and Prime-A inspired back wall, the chairs are also very cool. Will you be adding extra consoles at the sides of the pit like the '09 bridge had, or leave a more classic layout?

No extra consoles. I think the 1701 bridge is just too busy and cluttered. My goal is to keep the aesthetic, but simplify it to be more elegant and straight forward.

There is a part of me a little scared of those pillars. I can almost see the equally clean hand bots from Dr. Who (this is a kindness) taking reluctant crew members there as mind wipe kiosks

I appreciate that. I don't love it yet, but hopefully I can get it to that point :)

Bridge has a lot of potential. Like the colors.

Loving your take on the bridge. The damn thing is so cluttered in the movies that it's hard to tell how it's laid out.

I'm going to get back on the bridge soon, but in the meantime I've been working on another shot for the opening sequence.

Work in progress. U.S.S. Tyson docks with Sagan Observatory in orbit of L-374 IV on Stardate 2267.293. Station model by Chris Kuhn.

Thank you. That's the goal. :)

Sagan Observatory is home to one of Starfleets most advanced stellar cartography rooms, which I have also begun laying out. It includes and anti-grav platform that puts you in the middle of a cartography dome, surrounding you with stellar holography maps.

Draft one of Sagan Observatory establishing shot. Any critique or suggestions welcome, as always. Station model by Chris Kuhn.

Is there no way to watch that video full screen?

Should just be able to click the Vimeo logo and take it full screen. Either way, here is a direct link. Replace the "tt". I have to do that so it wouldn't automatically generate a player window.

Weird. I couldn't click the Vimeo logo in that at all. Your other link worked fine.

My only suggestion is a little noticeable movement by the people occupying the pod. Other than that, stellar work
