Have a feeling they might be revealing the guests-hosts the week before they're set to air, meaning they won't likely reveal them all in one go, but rather as they progress through the season.
Brayden Smith, the last five-time champion under Alex Trebek's tenure, has died at the age of 24. Cause of death not revealed yet.
How tragic. Horrible news. I guess it was complications from a recent surgery, according to local news out of Vegas.
This week is the end of Ken's run as guest host. The following two weeks will be guest hosted by Mike Richards, the executive producer of both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Oooookay...?
Richards at least has hosting experience. He's done a few one-off shows over the years (I think Beauty and the Geek, for one?) and he supervised the transition from Bob Barker to Drew Carey on The Price is Right. The real horseshit is Dr. Oz getting a guest host run.
Yeah, Dr. Oz seems like such a wildcard. Kind of feels like a publicity stunt, and it would make me lose interest real quick, and it's what I've been worried about. There are far better candidates that I'm sure would be more than willing to guest-host that should have been put ahead of Dr Oz.
Aaron Rodgers may be a great QB, but WTF??? And yeah, Dr. Oz is an epic twat, so no thanks on that one.
Whenever his week(s) end up happening — the website still lists him as TBA — I will be sure to skip them.
So according to the list of guest hosts, the only ones that are currently scheduled after Ken are Mike Richards and Katie Couric. Both are scheduled for two weeks, all the others are TBA. Assuming they all get two weeks and show up in the order they're listed, Dr. Sanjay Gupta will finish his stint on June 25th. Usually a Jeopardy! season runs through the end of July (last season only ran until mid-June because of the 'rona), so I guess there's still time for them to sneak LeVar in.
Yeah, the nerve of them not scouring a Star Trek message board for people's thoughts about who should be the next host of Jeopardy.
Anderson Cooper is the only person other than LeVar Burton that I think would actually do a good job and really fit the role.
Of the people on the list, I think the journalists will probably fare the best. I'll probably tune in for Aaron Rodgers just for the WTF value.
Apparently fans are "clamoring" for executive producer Mike Richards to be permanent host after he filled in starting Monday? Story Is this true?
