She is that huge, but can fit inside a shuttlebay on the Emerald Chain ship?

From the internal FXs she could probably fit the enterprise inside her.

Is a ship containing the Viridian containing the Discovery containing the Enterprise the USS Matrioska?

I have a theory that based on the relative size of Discovery's turboshafts to the Viridian, that the Viridian was actually a massive planet sized ship housing billions of people and that the entire population of the Emerald Chain was on that ship. So when Burnham destroyed it, she actually wiped out the entire Chain in one swoop. The fact that she was the one narrating at the end of the episode was all the more suspicious. She said the Chain fell apart because Oyssra was gone but I think it was a clever deflection to hide that it was really her wiping out an entire civilization.

Only when he's the ECH. The EMH has taken the Hippocratic oath, but the ECH can slaughter with impunity.

What Doctor then? Dr. Who? Ohh, wait, you must be talking about Beverly Crusher, she did murder that space ghost who lived in a candle that one time.

Doctor Who is the correct answers. Other answers we would have accepted is Phlox.

i rewatched Dear Doctor (as part of my first rewatch since enterprise was on the air) the other week...I wouldn’t be lying if I said I disagree completely with the ultimate decision they took.

That's probably only because you have a basic understanding of how evolution actually works.

A solid 9, coming in as the 3rd longest Trek franchise episode ever, there's plenty of wrap up packed in to the episode.

I feel satisfied with season 3 in general. My only qualm is I had hoped they would have spent more time on 32nd century Starfleet.

It is quintessentially "TNG" for them to tie up the "Burn" as an emotional child that lost his mother rather than some "Big Bad", and season 3 was the most TNG-like season of Trek since Voyager. Michael Piller would be happy.

    My season rankings: 2, 1, 3.

not bad overall, the cause of the burn doesn't bother me
I thought the detached nacelles was one of the dumbest things ever, then they did the turbolift thing

Finally watched the last three episodes of the series. I thought they were ok but at the same time so completely over the top and silly. Just like the season 2 finale, mercifully without hundreds and hundreds of drone ships buzzing around this time though.

This season started strong though and at least had some good heart with Su'kal and everything on the planet was quite well done, but the turbolift funhouse :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: just so they could have yet another kewl action scene, the Burham/Osyrra fight and resolution (wtf), the Vulcans/Romulans showing up because Burnham asked them to (okkkk) and the awful casting choices on the UFP base and Osyrra's henchmen/women drag it down. And we of course got another "I love you all" line, just to show us again that these characters really, really love each other.

Overall though I actually thought season 3 was a step up from season 2, but the writing is still all over the place. Also, was anyone else confused when it was revealed Stamets and Culber adopted Adira (and by extension Gray)? :wtf: So weird.

And I figured we might get a good look at those other Federation ships in the finale... nope, as fuzzy, indistinct and badly lit as ever.
