Justice League official "Zack Snyder" cut on HBO Max

The film is finished (as you might expect with only 6 weeks to release and apparently only 4 minutes of new* footage). This article has a good collection of voices involved in the making of it: https://www.gamesradar.com/zack-snyders-justice-league-is-finished-director-confirms/?utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_content=total-film&fbclid=IwAR1YKXI8puHsVbg2xKrNjF6TrL6griPUm0xGjMWoy939H1yf8u1UihLo-jc

*ie footage that Snyder has shot since March 2020. There is apparently 150 minutes of footage that we, the audience, haven’t seen before, but which he shot before Whedon took over

I noticed Batman vs Superman Ultimate Edition is on HBOMax right now... is there anything there that adds to setting up the Snyder League version? Or anything about it worth watching (either as a whole or some certain scenes?)

Compared to the theatrical cut, the "Ultimate Edition" is a much superior version of a movie I still don't like. :p If you have enough interest to ask the question, you should definitely check it out.

The theatrical cut literally makes no sense. The extended cut fix that, but doesn't actually change the story. Just fleshes out events a lot better. The theatrical cut really doesn't need to exist at this point. Its broken.

Everything you needed to know why a Justice League was necessary was set up in the theatrical version, but the UE is just another look at a solid superhero film.

Now we have full reveal of Leto's Joker in the Snyder Cut

I will never understand why Snyder didn't want to do a Batman solo movie before BvS and introduce the new Joker in that movie before Suicide Squad did it.

Charles Manson Joker...I like it!

Agreed. Introduce us fully to this older Bruce maybe battling the Mutant Gang and deal with his relationship with his Ex-Wife Selina and their teenage daughter Helena who he loves but feels alienated from.

I read online somewhere exactly where the Joker is going to appear in the movie.
I read somewhere earlier today that the Joker's appearance is apparently going to be part of a longer version of the Knightmare sequence. I think it said he's going to be interrogating Batman or something like that.

I don't think he was offered the job? Superman was on the table, Chris Nolan was finishing his Batman trilogy at the time. I agree that obviously Batman is the movie he really wanted to make but a Superman series of films is what he was given and when the first film didn't hit as well as they hoped then they decided to bring in Batman.

Nice, I'd actually like it somewhere like that than the more predictable place but I'm thinking this was the new footage that was shot and was very short so I would expect it to be something that was originally intended to lead into another movie.
