CW The Flash Season 7 trailer!

was nothing in this trailer that makes me WANT to watch it.
For me, it would have been a giant graphic at the beginning saying "The MIrror Master Storyline Ends in the First Episode!" If Batwoman can put the breaks on the Hush storyline, surely these guys can do the same.

Agreed.
There was nothing in this trailer that makes me WANT to watch it. I probably will, if it's just to get a sense of closure. But it just doesn't pull me in anymore.

I am not sure if I am going to watch the last season

I read an interview with the showrunner a while back, and I think he said it was going to end with the third or fourth episode, but stuff from it will blend into the next arc too.

I'm very close to doing what I did with Doctor Who with The Flash. I really haven't missed the show that much since it went off last year, but for a few years now I've just wanted this show to end and I wanted to stick with it knowing that maybe this will be the final season. I really hate to be one of those people who would "hate watch" a show or bash a show, but I feel now watching this show is almost out of obligation. The show had it's time, I kind of wish CW would move on.

Season 8 really should be the last. I'm still mostly enjoying it, but the show is nowhere near as good as it used to be, and it is starting to feel like it should end now, before it totally crashes and burns.

8 seasons should be it. Otherwise it ends up like Smallville with some cast members leaving and the show not feeling like it once was. I bet it's getting more costly with each actor renewing their contracts.

Grant Gustin has been making noises that he would like to try and become a serious actor. Also that the internet fanboys/trolls are getting to him.

Granted, s7 hasn't even started yet. So he might be leaving this season, and it simply hasn't been announced yet. Or maybe s8 will be the last.

I was already losing some interest in the show (I think it peaked in season 3) then the poor handling of Hartley Sawyer just doesn't have me excited about getting a season 8 which is a shame I guess I'll watch the first few episodes of season 7 and go from there. Might stop after the current arc ends?

One of the things I really liked about the first two years, in spite of the unfortunate Barry/Iris designated shipping, was the sense that having superheroes in the present day would really start to change things, and make an impact on the world. Now, I know some degree of Reed Richards is Useless is inevitable, but with the STAR Labs setting, it felt as though The Flash would at least be making strides such a direction. It's one thing for Avengers tech to not influence the MCU's world all that much, as (apart from Agents of SHIELD, of course), we only get occasional glimpses into that reality several times a year, with settings all over the globe. But when a show like The Flash pumps out 20-episode seasons year after year, the lack of evolution becomes especially obvious and obnoxious, and all we're left with is unending soap opera nonsense about Barry saving his wife/future daughter/close friends/etc.

(Another point in Legends of Tomorrow's favor: they've always been a bunch of misfits and weirdoes, who never promised to change humanity/the world for the better. :p)

I think season 8 will be the last season so everyone is just going to have to tough it out for 40 something more episodes. We can all do it if we try. Besides for a final season they are likely go all crazy with fan service. It will be a season just for us.

New poster

It just struck me how unusual it is that every cast member in that season 7 poster has been with the show since season 1. With the exception of Rick Cosnett (Eddie Thawne), every season 1 cast member of The Flash is still a regular in season 7, though Tom Cavanaugh hasn't played the same character regularly throughout. A lot of supporting regulars have come and gone, but the six core cast members have remained constant. In Arrow, only Stephen Amell and David Ramsey were regulars from start to finish, though several others were steady presences through most of the series. In Supergirl, the only constants have been Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, and David Harewood. And only Caity Lotz and Dominic Purcell have been with Legends from the beginning.

I wonder if they are trying to hid something by not putting Tom Cavanaugh in the poster. Like maybe he is playing a Wells we have seen before or they don't want to spoil the Wells he will be playing.

One thing I hope for Season 7 is a new Wells, I HATE the "Every Wells is now just a voice in Nash's head" thing. I'm worried that, since the new multiverse is still unknown to the inhabitants of the main Arrowverse Earth, we'll just get more of Nash and his split personalities. I'm hoping some science thing splits him up or something, because Nash, while not bad by any means, is easily my least favorite recurring Wells. Wells in general is usually my favorite supporting character, so hopefully we get something solid for him this season.

But honestly, as long as Mirror Iris is gone by episode 2-3, I'll be happy with Season 7. That's all I really need at this point, for the entire Mirror World story to end. I feel like I wished on a Monkey's paw with that shit, wanting an actual Mirror Master for years, and it ending up as the second worst Flash storyline (after the crap with The Thinker aka all of Season 4).

As for The Flash getting renewed for Season 8, I hope it goes on as long as the actors are willing to be on the show. In my opinion The Flash is the only remaining good Arrowverse show, so when it ends it will really be the end of an era, and I'd like to delay that for as long as possible. Its nowhere near the heights of Season 1-3, which are genuinely great, but outside of Season 4 and the Mirror Master stuff The Flash is still a solid (f flawed) show. When its gone, the Arrowverse that I care about will be completely gone, so I hope it sticks around for awhile.

I'd honestly be fine with a run as long as Supernatural, I'd love for The Flash to be the last Arrowverse show standing. its already going to have outlived Supergirl and Black Lightning, which both started and will end during The Flash's run, I'd love to see it at least outlive Legends and Fake Batwoman.

Well, I see the "Barry Allen and Friends Mope Around Hour" is still going strong... anyone else remember when this show had a sense of fun to it?
I thought the first season of The Flash was amazing. Every single subsequent season not so much.
