Geese are the worst!! You quickly realize to give them a VERY wide berth...

After further reflection, this is not the proper place for this.

If you wish to discuss this in further detail p.m me.

Excellent idea. Thank you for preventing me from needing to get MY goose on. @Discofan , I trust that you, too, are also going to stop the personal sniping in the thread? You have already been given a friendly once today for that very thing, so you are already on thin ice.

Venomous? Really?

How do they inject the venom? Not with their bill, I guess...

I mean ducks are inoffensive creatures... It's hard to believe that anything resembling one could be agressive.
The males have a spur on their back legs, and it's apparently pretty nasty. According to Wikipedia there was a guy who go hit by one in one of his hands in 1991, and in 2006 he was still experiencing discomfort and stiffness. He was a soldier, and said that it was more painful than getting hit with shrapnel. So if you ever find yourself handling a male Platypus, you should avoid the back legs.

from 11 years ago-

The Actual occurrence of a thought made me think I could think. When the time of the thought was created at will by the thought most occurrences of other thoughts did not happen too close to the original thought. While this is being unimportant as anything else actually is, it did occur beyond the meaning of being at that particular moment with itself and yet not in or of itself there of and through and through, I think.

A goose is different from a duck!! For one thing, a goose doesn't have a bill, it has a beak and a very tough one at that!!!

You really are not a country guy, are you?

First of all, bills are beaks. Secondly, geese have bills just like ducks

Here's a test if you're not sure. You walk toward the animal, if it flies away without hesitation, it's a duck, if it turns around and tries to intimidate you, it's a goose. Of course, that only applies to domesticated geese. The wild ones are another story.

Ducks and geese are far more closely related than with other birds like hummingbirds, hawks, boobies or kiwis.

And ducks ARE aggressive.

Please leave this to those of us who do know what they are talking about.

My car broke down this morning and it made me about one hour late. Fortunately, I am well insured So everything is fine, except for the hour of my life that's lost forever...Plus the courtesy vehicle is a bit sluggish but I don't spend that much time driving so it's OK.

Facebook's algorithm for whatever reason has started putting some clips from this kid's show 'Ziggo and Sharky' on my feed. No idea why it would do this, but this show is just bizarre. This shark is in love with this mermaid and this other smaller animal is trying to eat her. I find this setup deeply troubling for some reason. Especially since the mermaid character always just sits there dumbly smiling.
