Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

Interesting Trekmovie article. I 'm also looking forward to the changes Patrick Stewart mentions in the interview.

I just thought of something. If they ever want to fire Patrick Stewart from his own show it will be easy. Just say that they've upgraded the Picard android to give it a young appearance and that's it.:D

Well I just finished watching the first season a couple of days ago, and I have to say that I've been impressed. A few things I didn't like (the f-word in Star Trek, for instance, is a no-no) but overall I've prefered this very much to Discovery. Going to buy the Blu-Ray for certain.

And now I finally have a Star Trek ship I want for my personal use other than the Runabout: La Sirena!

But even so, his role is done, so that's ok. It's unfortunate that they didn't have movie budget. CGI de-aging does wonders nowadays.

What an odd conclusion - nothing he said implies that XD

He sees himself as being too old for the part (he asked to die in Nemesis for that reason).

Androids are supposed to be ageless and his age was showing.

No need to see Data beyond this point. IMO, they've made up for Nemesis and given him the best send-off he could get. I'd rather have Brent Spiner just play Altan Soong.

It's interesting. Picard and Data ended up the opposite Kirk and Spock when it comes to life-and-death. Spock came back to life, and Kirk didn't. Whereas Picard came back to life, but Data didn't.

Someone asked Micheal Dorn if he was going to play Worf in season 2 of Picard . He says no he hadn't been asked to play Worf right now. He's been busy doing interviews for a movie Called Agent Revelation.I saw the interview on tv.

It could be that he's deemed too expensive.

He also could just not be allowed to say he's involved until it's been officially announced. Actors/directors/etc. often have to lie to hide their involvement in a project if they've signed some kind of NDA.
