This is my 3rd re-watch of the entire series since it ended. First in half a decade.

I am watching along with Garret Wang and Robert Duncan McNeil as part of the Delta Flyers podcast.

So its one episode a week. Enjoying it very much watching along with them.

I think it would have been interesting if the self-destruct had been completely unavailable to Voyager due to the original First Officer perishing in the pilot. Like maybe the self-destruct can only be calibrated for a change in Captain/First Officer at a space station, or something like that.

Make it something hard wired that can only be fixed at a space station or starbase, a module that has to be removed and replaced in the computer system, in which case Janeway would be stuffed unless she has them rip it all out and rebuild it.

Really? When did that happen? (sorry I haven't seen all the material with the TOS crew :()

My idea was more along the line to prevent a situation when a Captain gets to drunk on power and just decides to field commission a new First Officer, if the original one disagrees about activating the Self Destruct.

Only inconsistency there is that Worf was not an official officer on Enterprise E, but he was able to arm the autodestruct in "First Contact". Also, if you're right, it simply should not have been possible to use Voyager's autodestruct sequence until the module was properly reconfigured. That would take priority over giving one person the power to nuke the ship at will.

I think that since Tuvok was presumably a commissioned officer in good standing, he should have been an acceptable second person. Since Voyager was a smaller ship, I'd have been fine with the captain and security chief being enough to authorize the ship going boom.

Heh, I guess I missed that episode.

I know you probably meant Worf on the Ent-E in First Contact, but it did make me scratch my head for a second.

I am actually always rewatching Voyager but I did a complete rewatch a few months ago. It's crazy how many episodes you "forget" and then you rewatch them and think... Damn, they are actually quite good. I for example had totally forgotten about the Omega episode. It was really great but somehow it just got delete from my memory lol

I didn't realize there was so many good episodes....... Season 5 and 6 were really enjoyable for the most part. I don't know if I skipped it but which episode did they enter the Delta Flyer in a race? I just have this memory they did that but not sure if I am making that one up.

Yes I thought the same. Basically most episodes were just really good. I think you mean "Drive" but it's season 7. Youre not making that up :D

Love to know which episodes you think are scary, because there are two or three I always avoid for that reason. Haven't seen them in... decades :)

I'm also watching along with the podcast (except for the scary ones) and honestly, it's one of the highlights of my (rather constricted) week.

I hope this doesn't result in rotten vegetables being thrown at me but...Fury because the change in Kes scares me, Coda because just how sad the episode is and one episode where Torres is the main focus of the story and there is a sudden The Sixth Sense type shot that makes me jump. I shouldn't have said I don't like those episodes because they are all good stories and I love Kes but I prefer it when everything is quiet. Harry and Tom playing pool on the holodeck, Neelix testing the patience of Tuvoc in the Mess hall and The Doctor complaining to the captain about something in Sickbay. Mind you, when an episode starts like that you know something heavy is about to go down.

I can handle gory horror but not little girl ghost type horror. I'll never forget the first time I saw the new version of The Ring. I felt catatonic for days. Some Red Dwarf episodes even scare me  It's not so bad if I watch it during the day but Voyager has always been evening/bedtime viewing for me. Like a mug of Horlicks.
