Name That STAR TREK Episode...

Actually, I couldn't possibly have guessed this because your first clue was terribly misstated. You said "HIS homophonic subordinate", which means that the name of the subordinate and HIS are homophonic, not that the name of the subordinate sounds like ONE of the dozens of words used in the statement... That's just nonsense! With clues like that, we are reduced to randomly name episodes until one of us gets a lucky guess. Next time why don't we just pick the winner with a draw? That will be just about as fair.
Well, one tries. You shouldn't feel cheated. Everyone has the same information to work off of. Personally, I feel that "poetic license" is ok in a clue, but that's just my view. I would be willing to steer away from that if you just say so, as you did. There is no need to go storming off and quitting the thread due to a simple bad clue that was given with good intent.

Ok, maybe I overreacted. I'll give it another try.

Your guess is not as bright as a blade today.

Clue # 2
Well strictly speaking, it is the visitor who falls out with Kirk, however on this occasion he is far from a jerk.

Errand of Mercy?
The clothes the Organians provide to Kirk and Spock fit well, which is lucky so they will blend in with the Organian community AND the makeup use on the actors portraying the Klingons 50+ years ago is not 100% acceptable today.

I don't know. The Organians being the powerful energy beings that we know would have no trouble making these clothes out of thin air to the exact measurements of Spock and Kirk. So I don't see it as lucky.
