Any issues with CBS All Access?

Their recommendations suck. And "continue watching" should be at the top of the menu.
I think I read somewhere that Netflix somehow copyrighted their menu layout, forcing all competitors to have more clunky versions with buttons out of easy reach.

I read it on the internet so....

CBS:AA usually works fine, but this past week on my Samsung smart TV it logged me out and wouldn't let me log-in no matter how many times I tried it. I deleted and reinstalled the app but that didn't work either. Finally I just gave up and went to watch the show on my phone, but the next day when I tried CBA:AA on the TV again it was working fine.

Disney+ was having connection issues during The Mandalorian as well, but fortunately those were sorted out by restarting the app.

The CBS:AA app is just horrible and has been buggy since the first day I installed it. I can't tell you how many times I have had to re-install it to watch a show. Even if you get it to work don't pause or stop or try to switch shows because it seems any menu change forces it to crash also.

I have had no issues at all with any of the other apps on my Samsung smart TV, not even crappy Pluto TV.

Lots of lag.

Hmmmm....space based T.V. franchises having problems all of a sudden. I smell anti-spacer hackers.

For the third week running, I'm unable to play CBSAA on my laptop, only on my phone. And the CBS app won't let me watch full-screen on the phone. I really wish they would fix whatever the problem is.

I haven't tried the phone version, I tend to only use my laptop. I have had the occasional weird video problem with both Discovery and Picard, where the video feed will become out of sync for some reason with the audio. The audio will continue normally but the feed will default to scenes that happened a few minutes earlier in the episode, or occasionally even to the CBSAA credits! It also tends to mess up the timestamps in regards to trying to find specific scenes, so it can be annoying.

But I don't know what causes it, as it doesn't seem to be based on switching between tabs while the ep is running and it's more of an uncommon problem than a common one. I've used Netflix for a long while and never seen a similar issue with their streaming function. It just seems to happen randomly even if the episode is the only thing running in the browser (Safari).

My Chrome problem is also 3 weeks old and counting...

I haven't been able to watch via browser on laptop for about a month. Fails on both chrome and firefox. Phone app is fine.

So several of us had the same problem start at the same time. That suggests it's something on CBSAA's end, so why haven't they fixed it yet?

Wow, that is a deep, deep allusion from the foggy mists of time. I wonder if anyone else will get it.

I don't think I'm surprised you got it

When TV could still push boundaries.

It started working for me again on the laptop. But now I am not seeing any commercials (not a complaint!), even though I have the cheap account. Maybe the problem was with the ads.

I tried to cancel my account after I watched the last episode, and they conveniently wouldn't let me (technical error, try again later)...

It never started working for me again. Really annoying that they've let this go 5-6 weeks without fixing it.

Same. I eventually looked up the phone number to cancel with an operator/sales person, who of course tried multiple times to get me to reconsider. And that was after waiting on hold for 15 minutes. It was a pain.

It’s a lame way of trying to get your subscribers to give up on canceling.

In my case it started working when I got a new laptop with a freshly installed browser. So maybe the browser needs to be reset (delete cookies, extensions, etc) or reinstalled.

The problem with that idea is that it wouldn't work in either Firefox or Chrome. So I don't think it was an issue with a specific browser.

When I tried to watch the latest episode Thursday morning, it kept showing ads (even though I have a no-ads subscription) and finally froze up on one of the ads. I had to finish watching the episode on my MacBook using the Safari browser. Later I rebooted my Amazon Fire stick and was able to watch the episode on my TV without any problems.
