Yep. The episode Future Tense. I doubt the producers are aware of that episode and also, why use that tech in the turbolift? It’s used to give more space for useful things like quarters and science labs. Not chasms.

Given in season 1 - they specifically talked about what happened to the U.S.S. Defiant and referenced the ENT S4 episode "In A Mirror Darkly"; plus the tie back into the mirror universe in this season, Why would you assume the discovery production team in the writers are not aware of the episode "Future Tense" as well?

Just Ignore them. They’re negative about everything.

First thought watching that (And because it's really late) is that felt like a series finale. Discovery has finally come home, Burnham finally got her captaincy, and Saru returned home. If they decided to end the series here and move on to Strange New Worlds, that would work.
I suppose it would. If that were so.

But I'm ready to see what's next for these characters too.

my one gripe about the episode: the turbolift corridor. I honestly felt they were trolling the audience with it, by now. if they have this truly VAST amount of pressurized breathable space, why the hell didn't the asphyxiating crew just take an occasional breather in the funhouse while they progress to their goal.

That bit is a fair complaint.

As much as I hate Saru not being Captain, I can't see a better end for his character. I want him back, but will kind of hate it if he comes back, but not really.

The ship porn this season, capped with new uniforms with TNG colors was very fan masturbatory. It's fucking fun. TOS closing theme was a good cap too. The only thing wrong with it is how long it will take until next season.

That bit is a fair complaint.
Actually it is not. The crew was not in Turbolift alley, they were near the nacelle and in the place where the magnetic thingy was. Vacuum/Atmosphere interface is hard to maintain. The seal between vacuum and atmosphere has to be almost impenetrable by Helium, the smallest stable monatomic gas. People don't just poke in and out of vacuum.

Life support is just maintaining oxygen, not atmosphere. The Turbolifts had oxygen maintenance, the places where oxygen maintenance were not maintained did not.

Loved it. Want to Saru as admiral. But most importantly in the next season I want to see what happened to Romulans, Klingons, Borg, and Dominion. Or what replaced them. Hope we’ll have more series in the 32nd century.

The magic holodeck bugs me a little. I don't have any big problem with mechanically reading minds, but if that holodeck could do it, then any holodeck should be able to do it.

I mean, the turboshaft scenes were something right out of an LSD trip and laughably bad, but they got so cheesy that the bad turned into a good bad. Some things in Trek are so absurdly over-the-top that you just roll with it because you know it's not going to make any sense.
