Ah! That Barrowman video is so much awesome! So looking forward to seeing Captain Jack again.
Tom Barrowman played Captain Jack Harkness in the last five episodes of the first season of the current series, and was then one of the lead characters in the spin-off Torchwood, which lasted four years. He's probably one of the most popular characters to have come out of the series.
I'm a bit excited for this.. Can't wait, I wonder how she escapes.. Will she then be a fugitive forever?
No different from before.
Plot twist: she’ll just do her time for a couple of millennia and is free to go. Back to the time machine.

Damn, I know that, I don't why I did that.
I'm relieved that despite some of our fears, The Doctor didn't remain in prison very long (and I'm going to assume it was Shada until stated otherwise!) and I loved how she was quickly rescued by Jack.
The overall Dalek story was unsurprisingly Dalek-y and uninteresting and even felt like a typical Davies romp (not a plus in my book), although I did like The Doctor's use of the other TARDIS as a decoy. Not terribly surprising that it was destroyed, but it's still little disappointing. I was kind of hoping we would see more of it.
What I did love about this episode were the heart-to-heart conversation that Jack and Yaz had about the joy and pain of traveling with The Doctor as well as the one that The Doctor and Ryan had about her identity crisis. I wish Chibnall had decided to focus more on those moments and the repercussions of The Doctor's long (if unintended) long absence instead of dealing with yet another Dalek invasion.
That said, it was great seeing Jack back in action, lighting up every scene with his cheekiness and the long-awaited return of the Square Gun! Hopefully he'll return again sooner than later.
Chris Noth's Robertson wasn't quite as annoying as last time and I loved how Graham and Ryan kept dragging out his misery and confusion all things the TARDIS. But it's a pity he managed to weasel his way out of death and consequences for his attempt to betray the human race.
However, it's unfortunate Harriet Walter didn't have much to do and her whole storyline kind of fizzled out. Such a waste of a terrific actress.
I look forward to the next series and more focus on just The Doctor and Yaz! I'm hoping John Bishop is just a reoccurring character and not a new companion. I would much rather prefer just Yaz as the companion next series.

John Bishop could be a good thing. A bit like Tate and Tennant. It could work.
As for the episode. It played out in lots of ways I imagined it would, I quit enjoyed.
I think that whoever suggested that the new Daleks should have looked chubbier should have been ignored. The narrow torso of the new Daleks looked much better in the promo images than what we ended up with.
I also thought that the authoritarian security drones would never have been accepted by the UK public, and the new PM just rolling them out was a contrivance too far.

To be clear, I have zero opinion of Bishop one way or the other. I literally hadn't even heard of him until he appeared in that post-credits moment. I'm just bummed it won't be The Doctor and Yaz only.
I forgot to comment on this in my review, but I actually quite liked the new design. Considering their fate in the episode, however, I'm guessing we won't see it again. Well, until we have another "Asylum of the Daleks" scene that has everyone!
Yeah, that felt unbelievable to this American, too. The whole thing was just a contrivance to bring back the Daleks in a new form and not much more thought put into it. I mostly don't care aside from wasting Harriet Walter.
