Spoilers How it will end, your predictions.

Su'Kal is neither genocidal nor a murderer.

The Burn was an accident. That's all it was. A plain, simple accident. Su'Kal didn't intend for it to happen, it was a purely instinctual, defensive reaction. He had no idea of the destruction his "cry for help" would cause.

If anyone tries to take action against Su'Kal for this...they're the murderers, not him.
Tell that to the millions dead. Sorry, it was an accident. Whoopsie daisy. We found the person responsible and we just pat him on the back and gave him icecream

Prolly not gonna end well. Too bad. They had a lot of promise this season. Just kinda failed to live up to it in the back half.

What would you suggest they do? Murder a helpless child?

Because despite his age, that's exactly what Su'Kal is. A CHILD. He cannot possibly be held responsible for what happened.

He grew up in a holodeck, he isn't brain damaged.
Sighs...Ok, depending on Kelpian psychology I would feel confident to say that if he had limited interactions with other sentient beings then his mental health growth could have been adversely affected. Human brain growth and social development begins at newborn age and can resulted in a lot of emotional difficulties if there isn't interaction to practice emoting. So, yeah, he could have some measure of brain damage, or mental damage.

Redemption has always factored in Star Trek stories.
Indeed, yes. And I value these stories more and more. It blows my mind at just how much pushback they get.
Well, that makes it better.
Admiral "The Godfather" Vance: "Make it look like an accident. He sends one of our ships the hospital we send him to the morgue. That's the Starfleet way."

He had interactions with Holograms, try again.

Holograms are not necessarily people. That doesn't automatically translated to fully grown functional mind just because you have holograms. Many cues and interactions can be missed.

I don't need to "try again." I simply state what I observe based upon what I know.

Thanks.

He had interactions with glitchy, messed-up holograms on what was (likely) intended to be a temporary measure until rescue arrived. And it looks like he had ultimate control over the holograms as well, forcing them to cater to his whims.

He's about as well adjusted as Bill Mumy in The Twilight Zone.
Why are you assuming the Holograms were glitchy when he was growing up when it was very specifically mentioned as being caused by 150 years of accumulated damages?

Because it was very specifically mentioned as being caused by 150 years of accumulated damages.

My predictions:
- Discovery crew will take back Discovery from the Emerald Chain
- Big space battle between Emerald Chain and Starfleet
- Ossyra will die
- The disabled scientist will betray Ossyra because he sees how evil she really is
- Hugh, Saru and Su'kal will be rescued
- With Su'kal saved, the galaxy is saved from another Burn.
- Emerald Chain makes peace with the Federation and agrees to start process of joining the Federation. We also see quick slide show of Earth, Thrill, Vulcan etc rejoining the Federation hinting that the Federation is on a path to rebuilding bigger and better.
- Discovery with no crew is lost, setting up Calypso
- Michael becomes captain of a new Discovery (that looks just like old one for nostalgia reasons)
