Well, excuse me! English isn´t my native language... I think the word "becomes" wasn´t necessary, right?
"Burnham saves the day and cries" is the correct sentence, right?
I was thinking "begins to cry" was autocorrected to becomes to cry.
Yeah, I read it as Burnham saves the day and begins to cry.
Pretty sure Calypso got retconned out due to Season 2 story changes.
Calypso was never part of the timeline in any definitive way.
The Discovery gets blown up/sent through time with no crew. Vance congratulates them on apprehending Osyrra, she will be tried and convicted, but need to save her for possibly later seasons. Vance tells them that there are no new ships for them, but that they can have the Enterprise-A that sitting in some museum somewhere, they figure its close enough to Discovery's age that the crew will know how to run the damn thing.
They keep trying to shoehorn it in though.
I think that the season will end with some group crying and hugging. Not 100% sure but it’s likely.
And yet, incorporating it into the current storyline is still a popular topic of discussion among many around here for some reason.
I think its more the fans trying to shoehorn it in.

I'm usually a big Discovery supporter but the end of the season has been weak. But, a few predictions.
The Burn really was caused by the Kelpien. There will be a technobabble answer for how it was possible, but it was really his meltdown that triggered it. Sukal was unaware and therefore innocent. Technobabble reason will be disabled and Sukal won't be able to cause another Burn.
Osyra will die and the Orion's will negotiate and join the Federation.
Lots of dilithium for all!
One part of the arc going forward will be to revisit former Federation worlds to see how they've changed after nearly 1000 years. They'll need to deliver the new found dilithium throughout the old Federation. What better ship than the Discovery with its spore drive!
The finale will contain some hints of another arc for next season as well. It could be anything. Perhaps an encroaching threat from elsewhere. Another galaxy? Gives urgency to getting the Federation back on its feet.
